All throughout history we find figures that are authoritarian but truly want to help their people. They want to preserve their legacy and be remembered as someone great, not a murderer. But from the relatively limited number of interviews on Libya by RT that I've seen not much airtime has been given to supporters of the NATO lead intetvention. Nor to the Libyans who have been fighting to get rid of the Gaddafi regime.
The general trend seems to be suspicion towards the motives if "the West". And of course, motives have to be scrutinized. However, the possibility that "the West" and Libya might have common interests seems absent.

All throughout history we find figures that are authoritarian but truly want to help their people. They want to preserve their legacy and be remembered as someone great, not a murderer. Believe it or not, some dictators want to play SimCity, not Grand Theft Auto.
BTW, Qaddafi had initiated a process of democratic reforms just before the rebellion.

Once all these f**king dictatorial regimes are gone, the Arab world will finally be free to have fair "Islamic political representation".
