In the USA, if you run from the cops, they'll chase you with every fiber of their being, and if they catch you, they are likely to beat the crap out of you (cuz you're endangering them by "making" them chase you), taze you, pepper spray you, and then slap you with every single infraction they can get you for, including felony evasion which is like a serious jail/prison term.

@asda12466 The volvo's are fwd and check it out on wiki on the net. My mate used to have a V70 and it was fwd. You can get a 4x4 version though called the XC. Volvos still a nice car though. The police BMW's and Mercs are all rear drive

@burlwoodman They don't show criminals getting away in the States because they try to instill this ludicrous idea that the cops can catch you no matter what. Apparently no matter how much better your car is, how much experience you have street racing, nothing will outrun a stock police car.

The police are the ones who should be driving evos. AWD for rain/snow/gravel, 4 doors to put the baddies in the backseats and with 280HP its going to be hard to get away from them.
