@420heavychevy Oh dear god. You are both wrong. Both Chevy and Ford had a 5.0 The difference was in C.I.D.. The Chevy was a 305 and the Ford was a 302. The 305 sucked due to flow restriction in the heads. A quick port and polish job would fix that and make the 305 run much better.
