@jkarani the only way Superman would save the day in 5 seconds flat is if you have him fighting Batman's rogues gallery. Superman has never been to powerful when he fights the likes of Darkseid or Brainiac. To tell good Superman stories you just have to create formidable enemies and situations for him smart and brawn his way out. By the way no one got sick of Superman. They changed everything because there was too much yunk continuity in the way.

The Superman from the comics is extremely powerful yet the stories are interesting because they have him fighting extremely powerful enemies. Superman's power has nothing to do with the creator's inhability to tell good stories.
This cartoon is great choice if you are expecting cartoon for laugh and enjoy for real. It looks so real, but actually it is just amazing story...for me, top one cartoon. I kind of enjoyed it. of course these WB adaptations of the comics are pretty softcore in comparison with the original DC's idea, but still, if you already know what you have to expect it becomes entertaining
I read the Andrew Kevin Walker Batman Vs Superman screenplay. It wasn't bad at all. But it was like Dark knight Returns meets Kingdom Come, but the writing was pretty damn good, the action scenes were amazing. Although i didn't like the ending. But the Batmobile chase was pretty cool. Although i really don't want to see a Batman vs superman film, but this script would make one hell of a graphic novel. Things like this should really stick close on the pages of a comic book.

Superman doesn't save gotham cause Batman is doing that. metropolis is his territory and he doesn't help Batman unless he ask it which is very rare. And lets face it Gotham villains are too unpredictable for superman and Batman is a genius in criminal psychology he knows how criminals think and predicts there next move. And they have kicked superman ass in the past.

Batman has fought metallo he has also fought other foes you think he would not have won but did. And the joker on many occasions has been in situation where he almost killed superman but batman saved him. Batman's criminals are not stupid they use there brains. Supermans villains besides darkseid are brutes and rely only on there power.

Bruce Timm himself has admitted he de-powered Superman and dumbed him down to make the stories work otherwise Superman would handle everything himself and wouldn't need Batman at all.
@caleb4080 No he's one of the most powerful DC character but not THE most powerful. Darkseid and his enemy/ Son Orion are possibly the most powerful DC characters in the DC universe. Superman is only able to defeat him with the help of many heroes or some times gets lucky. but Orion is by far the only character that can fight him one on one and has come out on top many times.

Darkside is very powerful I admit it but Superman has held his own against him hundreds of times in the past and bested him! And yes while there is lots of articles that claim he is there are lots that claim he isn't. And I don't hate on superman he is a good character but my favorite will always be Batman and Nightwing is number 2 in my favorite list. But we gotta agree that when Batman and Superman together we will always see greatness in that team up.

i just watched this movie. i liked how they had Superman and Batman behave more friendly toward each other. Batman was significantly less douchey than in JLA. the voice acting of Tim Daly and who ever does Batman are my favorites. also, they dude who did Lex is the best actor for him. however, the story was kind of dumb, and it couldve had better action sequences.

i dont think its fan made. looks professional. Superman has Batman by the neck and is forcing his Batass to the ground. i can email it to you if you like and you can tell me if youve seen it.
He is brain smart, but he is still a fool, he has to be...supers speed combined with heat vision...answer to all his problems, but he never does that simply because the show and the comic would be 5 panels long. Sometimes he is very smart, sometimes he is seen trying to cure cancer, and doing advance equation other times he has normal intelligence, something the writers never stick too hah.
yeah thats my complaint. the character of superman is portrayed inconsistently. hes smart yet the writers dont have him act smart in every situation. but thats what they have to do by putting him in unrealistic partnerships like with batman and the rest of the JLA. he just has them all so outclassed they have to gimp him with bad writing.
it always depends on the writers interpretation. superman has been portrayed to be quite brilliant in the past. he did well in school anyway according to TAS :D
i really enjoyed the movie but (SPOILER WARNING) the thing that didnt quite agree with me is that there are too many mini-fights that last way too short. some of the villains went down too easily(and some didn't make sense) like how batman beat grundy by punching him, batman takes out bane with one punch(i so wanted to see more of bane!) deadshot actually runs at supes with his guns instead of shooting him
(What the fuck?!) and worst of all: Deathstroke wasnt in it!(lol joke about that part XD)
killdalights66, He was able to move 2 planets with his ring and crush the sinestro ship. The green lantern ring is powered by green light and will, he has more will than any other green lantern out there, which is why he is the strongest green lantern. Also he is concidered to be more powerful than supes, I wouldnt mess with him, the rest of the green lanterns arent in supermans lead.

When they team up in the old Justic League cartoon, I thought it was alright, but individually, I don't think there great cartoons. I could be wrong. Your thoughts on this subject?

I kind of enjoyed it. of course these WB adaptations of the comics are pretty softcore in comparison with the original DC's idea, but still, if you already know what you have to expect it becomes entertaining

I read the Andrew Kevin Walker Batman Vs Superman screenplay. It wasn't bad at all. But it was like Dark knight Returns meets Kingdom Come, but the writing was pretty damn good, the action scenes were amazing. Although i didn't like the ending. But the Batmobile chase was pretty cool. Although i really don't want to see a Batman vs superman film, but this script would make one hell of a graphic novel. Things like this should really stick close on the pages of a comic book.

Superman doesn't save gotham cause Batman is doing that. metropolis is his territory and he doesn't help Batman unless he ask it which is very rare. And lets face it Gotham villains are too unpredictable for superman and Batman is a genius in criminal psychology he knows how criminals think and predicts there next move. And they have kicked superman ass in the past.

@Akkatlah Then you don't read much comics do you? Cause in Final Crisis Batman with some minor help he pretty much is responsible of the death of Darkseid. Batman has fought metallo he has also fought other foes you think he would not have won but did. And the joker on many occasions has been in situation where he almost killed superman but batman saved him. Batman's criminals are not stupid they use there brains. Supermans villains besides darkseid are brutes and rely only on there power.

Why don't you mention that it was actualy a Batman clown creted by Darkseid who shot him with the radion bullet and why don't you mention Darkseid was already dying. Why don't you mention Darkseid killed the clon and sent the original Batman back in time? The Joker big plan was to have Superman kill him and lose his morals rather than him killing Superman.

@Akkatlah those guys maybe nothing to him? but the joker, being the insane genius he is, did manage to breifly beat him using a dragon statue made out of sculpted kryptonite. then he had fun torturing him afterwards until batman saved him. and this was in a crossover episode in Bruce Timm's DC animated universe though I forgot which series and which episode

Bruce Timm himself has admitted he de-powered Superman and dumbed him down to make the stories work otherwise Superman would handle everything himself and wouldn't need Batman at all.

@caleb4080 No he's one of the most powerful DC character but not THE most powerful. Darkseid and his enemy/ Son Orion are possibly the most powerful DC characters in the DC universe. Superman is only able to defeat him with the help of many heroes or some times gets lucky. but Orion is by far the only character that can fight him one on one and has come out on top many times.

Darkside is very powerful I admit it but Superman has held his own against him hundreds of times in the past and bested him! If you look at lots of articles on sights or comics it'll tell you Superman is the strongest!!! HE IS THE UNGREEN MARVEL'S HULK OF DC!!! And yes while there is lots of articles that claim he is there are lots that claim he isn't. And I don't hate on superman he is a good character but my favorite will always be Batman and Nightwing is number 2 in my favorite list. But we gotta agree that when Batman and Superman together we will always see greatness in that team up.

I like both superman and batman even if superman is stronger batman still delivers competition as of his character in general. I would say my most faved DC heroes though ARE Hal Jordan (Green lantern) and FLASH!!! Gotta love dc =D

i just watched this movie. i liked how they had Superman and Batman behave more friendly toward each other. Batman was significantly less douchey than in JLA. the voice acting of Tim Daly and who ever does Batman are my favorites. also, they dude who did Lex is the best actor for him. however, the story was kind of dumb, and it couldve had better action sequences.

He is brain smart, but he is still a fool, he has to be...supers speed combined with heat vision...answer to all his problems, but he never does that simply because the show and the comic would be 5 panels long. Sometimes he is very smart, sometimes he is seen trying to cure cancer, and doing advance equation other times he has normal intelligence, something the writers never stick too hah.

yeah thats my complaint. the character of superman is portrayed inconsistently. hes smart yet the writers dont have him act smart in every situation. but thats what they have to do by putting him in unrealistic partnerships like with batman and the rest of the JLA. he just has them all so outclassed they have to gimp him with bad writing.

i really enjoyed the movie but (SPOILER WARNING) the thing that didnt quite agree with me is that there are too many mini-fights that last way too short. some of the villains went down too easily(and some didn't make sense) like how batman beat grundy by punching him, batman takes out bane with one punch(i so wanted to see more of bane!) deadshot actually runs at supes with his guns instead of shooting him
(What the fuck?!) and worst of all: Deathstroke wasnt in it!(lol joke about that part XD)

The green lantern ring is powered by green light and will, he has more will than any other green lantern out there, which is why he is the strongest green lantern. Also he is concidered to be more powerful than supes, I wouldnt mess with him, the rest of the green lanterns arent in supermans lead.
