  • WE DONT NEED MORE IMMIGRANTS!! WE NEED TO MAKE THE STANDARD MUCH MUCH HIGHER FOR PEOPLE TO IMMIGRATE TO CANADA. If people want to bring their elderly parents then the people who sponsor them will have to pay for their ''complete medical, education and housing'' for the rest of their life. Those ppl will likely never work in Canada. Why should we pay for them?

HOSPITAL WAITING LIST IS LONG, EDUCATION waiting time, requirements are harder to get into, SHELTER is too expensive to live by.

  • STOP ALLOWING LEGAL IMMIGRANTS (AND ILLEGAL) COMING TO CANADA!! Why is it that Canada still brings in OVER 250,000 IMMIGRANTS A YEAR? WHY is it they dont change their policy again and make it not based on education, but based on if the job demand is extremely needed? WE NEED TO DO A FLASH MOB CANADA WIDE AND PROTEST TO STOP PPL FROM ENTERING CANADA. WE DONT NEED MORE PPL, WE NEED TO HELP THE PPL WHO HAVE BEEN BORN HERE FROM THE 60'S AND ONE AND ARE NOW UNEMPLOYED OR TRYING TO GET A BETTER JOB!

  • I think what James said was great. We have more immigrants then we need.

In my words give incentives to women that have more then three kids, large.

They are the back bone of our country, lets not give our land away just to play a numbers game that will not work for us long turm. Keep Canada, as Canada

I want my kids to own and run this land, not immigrants

  • In 2008 when the unemployement rate reached 8.7%..did it really make sense to bring in 250,000 unemployed immigrants? NO

Do we want to become another Shiria semi-islamic nightmare as a result of immigration and have religious tension like europe? NO

Do we want to continue to be taken advantage of by criminals at the hands of weak immigration laws? NO

Do we need tougher immigration laws? YES

  • "easygoing4all" obviously lives in a Canada that we Canadians do not know of and hopefully never will.

  • You do NOT need a lawyer to come to Canada, believe me! check out

    Dr.TL / Canada

  • @superstud666 Yes, the job market is "open for immigrants", but that is not the point. The issue is the NUMBER of immigrants who are coming to Canada each year. It was 280,000 last year, but the "open" job market does not have the capacity to satisfactorily absorb that number. I think, given the present situation of unemployment and underemployment among both newcomers and Canadians born here, even 50,000 a year would be too much. It is a simple question of supply and demand.

  • Maybe we should just go back to immigration policies of the 1800's.

Just buy a ticket on a boat and come to Canada, no questions asked.

That's basically how we built the country,.

  • Our immigration policy is a disaster. It lets in cheaters and people who are nothing more than a burden. It is incapable of keeping track of people it lets in. It fails to deport people who commit crime. On the other hand, it also draws in skilled professionals who when they arrive find out their skills are not in demand. The numbers should be dramatically reduced.

  • Funny how the “multiCULTural" agenda is being pushed in EVERY white nation on the face of planet earth.

No one says “Japan” needs to become “MultCULTural."

No one says China, Africa, Mexico, Haiti, or Israel should be deluged with massive random, foreign populations to demonstrate how “moral” they are, or to “enrich” their sorely lacking culture.

It’s a program to eliminate white people from existence, plain and simple.

  • @NoWhiteGenocide You must know a lot don't you?? first of all Africa isn't a country, it's a continent and yes, there is a lot of migration to those countries and it's part of globalization, So stop talking like you know how they live in those parts of the world

  • Canada has a western culture....why is the government turning it into an extension of Asia??????Visible minorities will dominate the landscape of the country and turn into a poverty stricken dump. You heard what was said "51% of immigrants live under the poverty line" and I know that 70% of immigrnats are from Asia.No system can manage such huge unregulated immigration. If we need labour then introduce a competant labour contract program.Immigrants don't end up better off, they are being exploited.

  • @FathomWraithPB They live under the Canadian poverty line. Relative to their former circumstances, is pretty good. So, people come to Canada and exploit the social welfare net.

That 51% figure reveals not that Canada is failing immigrants, it's that our immigration polices are deeply flawed.

  • @london1st

    *Queen of Britain

    Shes Half Scottish mate.

And yes thanks to the government screwing over Canadians and acting against the peoples will, were all leaving in drones and so are our French brothers and sisters and the country is turning to shit and fast.

Canada will soon look like Detroit (Eastern Europe-ish, wasteland) in a few years time as were all leaving and all that will be left behind is the migrants.

Canada no longer belongs to Canadians, no one asked for "Multiculturalism".

  • The Canadian immigration police is a disaster. There are tons of BAs, MAs and PhDs in this country flipping burgers and sweeping floors. The Canadian market for decent jobs is almost completely closed for immigrants. Immigrants, think twice before coming to Canada, unless you would like to be discriminated and spend your life in poverty.

  • @237Michael I agree 100%. Stay in your own countries . Canada is no good for immigrants. DO NOT come to Canada.Spread the word around 237Michael .

  • @237Michael I wouldn't migrate to a country without consolidating a job beforehand. But that is a cultural value I hold dear. These migrants may not share this view. I say this because I know ex-British MD's who are doing incredibly well in Canada. One is the head of radiology at a Toronto hospital. A Sudanese Nuer youth would not share their success in Canada, but the notion that they COULD, prolongs implementation of the current policy.

  • Just leave immigration alone. What we have works for now at least. There are many holes to Mr. Greeen's arguments based on economics. Statistics that look a certain way mean something different when interpreted a different way.

  • I'd suggest advocating increasing the birth rate of Canadian's. Offer help with higher education and tax incentives to have more children.

Be careful of rapid influxes of different cultures. You could end up with a 'Balkinization' of Canada.

  • Yes sadly our country does not like to debate the tough issues it usually either leaves them to the courts to decide. Lets them run their course through inertia or simply dosen't do anything about them. Some examples I can cite include the fact that Canada has no abortion law(either pro or con) Sunday shopping in ontario is still technically illegal although not enforced. Not one member of parliament stood up and debated the stimulus package while at the same time they were busy with Lisa Raitt.

  • What are your views on immigration by the way?
