  • Gordon, you are also right that stupidity is not the sole possession of the Republicans. However, I do think that George Bush and his administration set a new standard in that regard.

  • Well, clearly war and peace is a complex issue. Hitler, Stalin and the list for just causes goes on and on, but the song isn't against all wars for all times. It points out that we had morons running our government for 8 years and in every area that they touched from peanut butter to wall street, to foreign policy they made a mess. War, can not be abolished and that's why it's so important that those in charge are motivated by the ideals and the intelligence to use military power wisely.

  • you are right stanley but there have been morons for more than 8 years. Bay of pigs, Iran desert one incident 1981, when we sold the Panama canal to the panamanians and they sold it to the chinese, Vietnam, etc

...weren't democrats in office during our worst blunders?

  • against war?

yeah sure lets go back in time and not enter any wars and lets see what happens hmm?

  • Yes it does have the line - John McCain he's so inane he thinks George Bush is an honorable guy that makes no sense and I actually in the updated version that I now sing has Sarah Palin she'll be fallin thats for sure, her mind is so spiteful, I can't take her anymore.

It's hard keeping a political song up to date. I personnally hope that we can forget this song and all the people mentioned in it as soon as possible.

  • I Spoke Too Soon..Thats Better.

  • They Forgot McCain And His Part In All This,He Said Himself That He Agreed With Bush 97% Of The Time...(it was in the debates)

  • Great song! - well done!

Check out a song I wrote about an American soldier who survives Vietnam, only to lose his son in Iraq. When you open the video, you can view the lyrics by clicking on "more" to the right of the screen.

  • What we need is a culture of dissent. As long as we are wistling while they work, tbe war will go on and on and our world will get more and more dangerous. Spread the word throuh poetry, song, and protest.

  • Clever, catchy, and so true! Would love to hear a condensed/angry/punk-rock version... ;->

  • Me too. This is great. Very well done. What still makes me laugh is, the guy Cheney shot in the face apologized to Cheney..hahaha. "I am sorry, Dick, for getting in the way of your shotgun blast." Hahahahaha.

  • Well, all you political folks, its important to hold these historical figures of evil responsible for thier behavior, because if we forget history, we'll have to repeat it over and over again. So spread the word about Bush, -- lets not forget the evil of Karl, the stupid of Wolfowitz, the complicity of Colin Powell, the malvolence of Dick Cheney. I will be very grateful if you can spread this song and this message as far and wide as possible.

  • Ain't that the truth
