There's a ~20MPH limit on that skid-pan, because it's made from cobalt blocks, and would rip your tyres to shreds any faster.. Anyhow the exercise was flick/accelerate to induce oversteer, correct, flick/accelerete etc. etc. More difficult than it looks, but demonstrating the very excellent job the RX-8's DSC does. With DSC off it's accelerate -> spin!
ah..well thanks for clearing things up, I can see why they were being so mellow then. Still, youtube up some evo/sti skidpad vids to see them really smahin it up.
more outside the car dry weather footage would be nice. The in car stuff in the wet is pretty boring, especially when you place it after the dry footage.
