  • i appreciate my uncle Asad Malik who was leading the team.

and he asked the players not to put the medal in the feet.

you can watch at the end...........

  • shame on the paid off refferee/umpire

    GFR were a false winner

  • It was a historical goal made by player number 7 and the umpire stopped it!! THAT was unfair!

  • soso bin ne sau

  • they won because they were in their country.... the umpire helped a lot... it happens, is still happening! a pity

  • As an absolute hockey NUT I love your video. But it wouldn't be me not to leave a comment on our Great Aussie hockeyroos. Here's to GOLD in 2012!!! Regards Chiara Purcell

  • indeed it was a very bad and equally wrong decision of the umpire.

It happened to be a very big scandalof Pakistan Hockey.

The way the pakistani players reacted on the medals stand, was really unwanted for.

  • 25 Jahre nach den Spielen in München....es ist schön, Aktive von damals zu hören.

  • Good classic footage......hockey has changed so much and I think after this match the entire Pakistani team was banned.

  • Decision of Rifree is totaly wrong because German player standing on goal line so pakistani player not a Offside.

  • Pakistani Players response to "Silver medal"..!!

  • Michael Krause's goal in the 60th minute was not right..It has to be disallowed as it hit in the net not on the board as was the rule at that time for penalty corners and Pakistan was the defending champion..so this is what they did and were banned for life which was reducted to Two years later on.Point to remember is that Until 1972, Pakistan or India had won every Olympic field hockey gold medal since 1928.

  • @Zozanqa The rule that the ball has to hit the board after a penalty corner was introduced a couple of years later. The German goal complied with the rules of 1972.

  • Pakistan: Not happy with the silver.

  • The Indian loss in the semifinals was heartbreaking. Anyhow prestige was somehow salvaged in the bronze play off in which we beat Holland 2-1.
