I think this is the core Rolling Stones tune, excellent guitar work, strong vocal, and quick lyrics alos like Sister Morphine, Jumpin Jack, Tumblin Dice, Wild Horses etc etc but Hear me Knockin brings all of it together imho
That's OK...The first 3 Black Crowes albums were good..It's everything else that was'nt so wonderful....The 'Stones are an excellent muse...I wish more modern bands would use them..
@slowrollRod ive been trying to get this tone for weeks my guitar has a stupid floyd rose on it and its preventing me from achieving this. but freakin awesome song
The sort of pickups you're likely to have on a Floyd Rose fitted guitar are likely to be a bigger problem than the floyd itself as far as getting this tone.
Why Mick Taylor is the best guitar player that ever played in this band.

Mick Taylors tenure with with the band was their most productive and creative, no doubt.

What would the world be like without the Stones? Imagine Scorsese films...so different.

Ron Wood does not even compare to Mick Taylor. Mick was soulful. Ron is a cardboard cut out.

@espdemon listen to the intro to stay with me by the faces and compare it with this...hard to say which is better.

Mick Taylor made the Stones what they are (were?). Richards and Jagger should give him a little recognition

Mick Taylor MADE the Stones on Sticky Fingers. Pay the Man his royalties - Mick and Keith, it's the very LEAST you can do!

May I recommend the book 'An Essential Guide To Music In The 1970s' by Johnny Zero. The author is a big fan of this track.
