  • Does anyone remember the title of the autobiographical film about Von Braun?

" I Am At The Stars." After its release someone suggested a subtitle: "But Sometimes I Hit London."

  • EMP?

  • This is so full of shit. The dumbass narrating said it himself...It wouldn't work. He just made it all up about Von Braun. No truth or fact at all.

  • @DarthVulva: Return to your pink tent and shut up. Deal?

  • @greenspirit1987 - Why don't you suck on my vinegary nut-sack, you ball sucking, cock-gagging anal rimmer? Deal?

  • The hammer of Thor (The successor to the v2) was Germany first attempt at bombing new York. It was designed to take a nuke to new your, and was the first rocket in space..

  • @AdamSavage88 German had no atomic weapons development. Just read Albert Speer's autobiography.

  • @PotatoGunsRule They were working on nuclear weapons,They were much further along than america had thought. Japan also had a prototype test scheduled 5 days after they surrendered. German scientists were a large part of why american nuclear programs got so far so fast (operation paperclip). And an italian diplomat actually wrote a book about him witnessing a German test detonation. He waited until after the German commander who had invited him to watch had died to publish his book.

  • @AdamSavage88 I'd have to read that for myself. What are your sources?

  • @PotatoGunsRule The book i read was about hitlers secret weapons buy Henry Stevens. I don't know if he has any legitimate credentials but he did mention a Mr. Romersa. Who wrote a book about a secret mission he had to go to germany and view some of their wonder weapons, one of which was the a-bomb. A u.k news company did a brief article on the book.

  • @AdamSavage88 Thanks man, I'll try to look into that myself.

  • @PotatoGunsRule Germany probably had some sort of nuke project, even if it didn't get that far. I have read Speer's autobiography, but I find it hard to fully trust a former Nazi minister responsible for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity.

  • @EEEL123 its true one of the first reactor was build in leipzig (germany) but the nazis wasnt interested in this kind of weapon. albert einstein and some other scientists wrote a letter to the presiden of the usa. the germans would develope the atomic bomb after this america began to develope the abomb

  • Come to think of it, EVERYTHING NASA has ever put up has been based on Nazi technology. Even the Space Shuttle was based on Nazi plans. Anyone think it's kind of strange that NASA hasn't got a proper replacement for the Space Shuttle? Now you have it, all its German scientists are either dead or in rest homes.

  • No prizes for where the US got its design for the X-15 rocket plane from...

  • JUST A LIE!

  • The only good thing about Von Braun is that he surrendered to the US along with 17 other scientist, agreed to train US scientist on rocketry and helped the U.S. start it's Space Program. He proved to be a vital asset to the US during the Cold War and was later named the Head Engineer for NASA and helped the US beat the Russians to the Moon

  • Werner van Braun never wants to kill anyone..

he joins the nazis to make his dream come true.

    built a functional roket

  • @TheJabbaHood - Aww, how beautiful, he managed to make his dream come true. It doesn't matter that it killed thousands of people, as long as Herr Braun got what he wanted. Some rapists don't want to hurt anyone either, they just want to make their dream come true...

  • @DarthVulva Yes, but it depends on what dream you have.

  • @TheJabbaHood still egoisitic

  • @TheJabbaHood poor exuse , its like " I wana my dream come true I join anyone who will provide me founds " " oh yes yes I will cooperate gladly even if I'm aware its pointed against other peoples " ( to kill peoples ... )

  • It's interesting to note that Ing.Graupe produced draft plans for a trans Atlantic rocket on 29 July 1940. Wernher von Braun sent Graupe's draft wirth a memo to Hitler on 31 July 1940 proposing the design as the Amerika Rakete, more than a year before Pearl Harbour.

  • thank god the first man into orbit didnt turn out to be a suicidal fanatic

  • A very simple plan? Excuse me? VERY SIMPLE?

  • what the fuck is this?

  • Germany might have become a great economic and military power if the Third Riech had not seized power, murdered or ran out their Jewish scientist like Einstien, and start a war of agression!

  • They ARE a great economic power. One of the largest economies in the world....

  • I mean back in the 1930s and '40s! I know they are a great economic power today!

  • @4200jadale eeeeeehm

so they were in the 30s

or what do u think how war works?

and where did all the planes and tanks came from? when not build by the economy

the bad diplomatic relations between the biggest european nations mostly came out of fear towards germany and its potential

  • thank goodness luck was on russia's and US's side. had stalin not turn the tide of the war or had the US loss the battle of midway we wouldnt be speaking english right now (or speaking anything at all for that matter)

  • why not? i doubt that germany would have wanted to invade the US, their goal was europe under german leadership and the destruction of communism, not world domination. And Japan's military was too puny to invade something as large as the US, their advancing army would be stretched out too thin.

  • Yes, Hitler's plan was to isolate the USA and to control Europe, Africa by proxy-i.e. satellite dictatorships and colonies-and leave Asia to the Japanese. He also wanted to make alliances with the dictatorships in South America.

He originally wanted to make an alliance with Great Britain, as felt that they were "biological cousins".

Japan's assault on the US was mostly a show of ego-"all things foreign are inferior to the Japanese"-and it would have been disastrous to try to invade the US.

  • @musikfanat

Yamamoto quoted if Japan invaded the US there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

As for the assault on the US they were trying to drive the only other major power out of the Pacific.

The leadership of Japan wrongly predicted the US would fold and demand peace .

    Yamamoto knew better and quoted.

"I shall run wild considerably for the first 6 months or a year, but I have utterly no confidence for the second and third years."

  • @Membrane556 I agree with you completely!

  • Comment removed

  • The idea was not technically idiot, but we know that the complexity of such a project did not allowed works without computers. Germans should have required

    a) special metals to build the engines

b)inertial systems to drive the rocket. With no fly- real time corrector no fly could have managed

    c) an enormous amount of money

  • I think they could've done it without computers.

If they would still be under control of Europe when they would be building this, they would have had access to rare metals.

They build V-2s and Me262 without computers, so...

The hardest part would be getting it on target.

  • Imagine if the Nazis obtained nuclear weapons and used these intercontinental missiles to deliver the cargo on places like London and New York. O.O

  • They actually had started a nuclear weapons program but they would have need a couple more years to actually create an actual bomb. If they had, they could have easily used the V2 to deliver it to London. If Hitler hadn't had such a lust for power that he attacked the USSR the world would be a very different place today.

  • Yeah...east europe wouldn't have had to suffer mass murder and rape of civilians by the advancing russians at the end of the war, and half a century of oppression and fear in a communist dictatorship afterwards.

  • didn't Stalin have a plan of his own to invade Germany? I've always entertained the thought that if Hitler had not invaded Russia well...a little later (or much later) Russia would've invaded Germany

  • @reDL89: You are right. Search for the books of Viktor Suworov. He was a russian officer and he wrote a book about it. Stalin wanted to invade whole Europe. He wanted to bring Communism / Bolshewism to Europe and the whole world. So, Hitler defeated the communist world-revolution. He saw this danger already in the 1920s. And it came true in the early 1940s.

  • @redDL89

A large number of Soviet troops were massed on the border when the National Socialists attacked, allowing them to capture and destroy many Soviet soldiers in the opening weeks of the war. The Soviets were foolish or about to attack.

  • nah nah,,,

in germany V-2 rocket cannot reach to east coast, america from germany, europe

  • but that´s no V-2! The under part is an A10 rocket to get the payload in the atmosphere and the man in the upper part then only had to bring it to the target. In the alps germans built a special testing area with a high speed testing area for speeds up to 11000km/h and that is the speed the rocket would reach when it came back in the atmosphere.

  • Is that their version of a "dirty bomb"?

  • no it would be a normal explosive, but they are being a little sensitive about showing a kamikazie flight into some buildings in NY as i am sure you can understand.

  • No, this would be a dirty bomb.

  • realistically they would have only needed a conventional explosive to accomplish their goal. An attack of any form on a major mainland American city would have most likely swayed public opinion to get the US to pull out of Europe.

  • Not really.Roosevelt and Churchill were determined to defeat Hitler and Americans, traditionally, don't give up once they start something...

  • @musikfanat - until Vietnam that is.

  • @fliegeroh They should not have been there in the first place. Ho Chih Minh wanted to ally Viet Nam with the US, but, Truman sided with the French in their quest to re-colonize Viet Nam. US policies pushed the Vietnamese into the arms of the russians. The Vietnamese and the Chinese were traditional enemies, that's why the Chinese were of no help to them...

  • He is a brave pilote .

  • @TeamVirility Japs did it. Lots of them.

  • ProudGermanSoldier

how "many" the jews pay me?

    LOL

  • looks like the X-15

  • He wanted to make a strategic sandwich on USSR, but he failed anyway.

  • The Germans allied with the Japanese was initially Mussolini's idea of creating the axis-power, which consisted of the Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy and Japan, Hitler didn't border initially about this, but he found this alliance useful in to work out his plan of eastern expansion, he thought that when the Nazi Germany would invade the USSR from the west, the Japanese would attack them from the east, to create divergence of concentration of USSR's defence.

  • Im still wondering why germans allied with japanese....

  • PreussischerRitter

    Shut your big Nazi mouth!

  • CalmPsycho

Maybe because Hitler thought that the Japanese were of Aryan origin?

    LOL

  • yes germany and japan were good secret allien friend before WW2

  • @CalmPsycho Congressman Wheeler leaked details to Chicago Tribune and the Washington Times Herald of FDR's war plan called Rainbow 5 proposing for USA to attack Germany in 1943. Details of the plan were published 4 December 1941. Germany & Japan were partners in the Axis Pact. From Hitler's perspective he struck whilst USA seemed weakest under attack from Japan.

  • @CalmPsycho Because the Japanese doesn't lose for 2000 years ago...

  • @CalmPsycho

They allied with everybody who was stupid enough to side with them. They didn't mind. Croats, Italian, Bulgarians, Romanians, Hungarians, Estonians, Japanese, Bosnian muslims (look up the SS Handschar, a Bosnian muslim SS division), Albanian muslims (SS Skenderbeg).

Hitler himself said he was glad the Japanese held up much of the American and British navy, it gave him a more fighting chance with more people figting his enemies.

Even arabs were recruited by the Grand Mufti.

  • when was this supposed to enter service?

  • in 1946 were the first tests supposed to be taken place.

  • lol 1946 -47 maybe late 45 if the base wasn't bombed as much

  • wow. they wer good
