  • lovely capture.....

  • WELL THEY CALLED 3801 THE NEWCASTLE FLYER AND TODAY IN 2011 SHE GOING STRONG AND ALL HER FRIENDS TOO

  • Nice video and cool engines. Thumbs up! :)

  • chuga chuga chuga chuga chuga chuga chuga chuga chuga chuga chuga chuga !!

  • I have nightmares that Im on a neverending swath of rails almost like a yard, but the tracks are infinite ( at least as far as I can see ) and there are oncoming trains on every track , creating a horrific wall of scary every time I have this crazy dream.

  • Compare 3801 with TGV:

    TGV in 1 hour: 450km

    3801 in 1 hour 40km LOL

  • @MasterGamesTV not funny. these are old engine. not as hitech like the TGv. if u had a hi-tech steam engine it would pretty much out run a TGV any day.

  • i want to see one of them go over the harbor bridge

    :D

  • Stuff Hard Train! WOW! Man´s firemans´s this work at 100% hating! lol

  • 3801 should come to the u.s and double head with sp 4449

  • aparently 3801 is copying tornado with a new boiler design or something

  • @andyZjohnZ This from the country that designed Mallard and the Royal Scot!

  • 3801 reminds me very much of Norfolk and Western 611, which I chased ofter when whe was running. Very nice video, great locomotives!

  • Yes it does. Maybe we should cross the pond and throw

    some paint on her!

    Sweet Video. 5stars

  • Great stuff Richard !

  • i wish 3801 was gray again, bring back some vintage steam

  • but its better known as the "green engine", any big occasion she has been painted green. e.g. western endevour, last steam engine on the southern line, 25th anniversary of the newcastle flyer, etc. it just needs the waratah back on the nose like it has in this vid.

  • anyone know what date 3801's overhaul will be complete

  • about early late 2010 early 2011

  • Since it ran parrallel, how did the v sets pass coming down line?

  • timetabling

  • Very good video/

    Thanks

  • The end of this video was great as the steam train passes thier whistles blew as they went pass.

    Great filming Richard

  • Very nice video work Richard. Is 3830 a standard gauge steamer?

  • Yes, both 3801 & 3830 are standard gauge.

  • is this 2005?

  • Yes, 05

  • ok omg i was on dat train it was da best

  • ahaha! cool, I was sitting on a carriage behind 3830 that trip :D

  • Excellent quality, especially liked the last shot through the trees.
