You are right. It's another wonderful redition of this aria by Radu Marian! His voice is so unusual and different from those of my favourite countertenors' but it sounds great! Clear, pure tone! Emotional and expressive! Bravo! For me PJ can't come even close with his flat, shallow, too sweet voice , lack of any emotion and expression! He is all fake! How can people prefer him?!
I agree that everybody hears in a different way. But I think that Jaroussky is more of a promoted image than expression. He doesn't communicate his feelings to me. I like Marian's, Cencic's and Manzotti's versions of this aria. They are all very different but they share emotions with me. Not PJ. Though it's only my opinion.
