And if your comment was directed to "What do we do to wear cammies?"...just look beside you in the desert. Most likely there is an Airman somewhere close. It isn't like the good old days. Since the Marines and the Army can't recruit and retain you guys anymore, they are putting us out there in the fields with you.

First of all the marines is a joke (no offense to any marines out there) but they brainwash them into think they're the best, they go out and fith, they're the first ones in when in fact they're no different than all the rest. Everyone in the AF owns and/or wears cammies, it's a work uniform so when they go to work (unless you're a recruiter) you wear the BDUs.

All pilots have at least a BA/BS, often in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering. Many have master's degrees in the same fields as well. Occasionally, someone has a PhD, though those are rarer considering how long those take to earn. Gone are the days of strapping 18-year-olds into aluminum tubes and sending them up against the Luftwaffe. Buzz Aldrin has a PhD, btw, and he's pretty cool, right =)?

Their Special Operations airmen wear cammies. Pararescue is the world's finest search and rescue force (usually searching for downed pilots, hence their affiliation with the USAF), and Combat Control traces its roots back to the Pathfinder units of WW2, landing head of the main force, setting up landing zones, coordinating troop movements, and guiding all the air traffic overhead. Pretty badass, eh?
