  • Det hær bringe fram så mange goe minna <3

  • What people don't realize, is that Norway consists of almost one hundred different dialects, and there is all from slight, to massive differences in most common words, to "catchfraces, and words", that people that live 50 miles away from won't understand.

Just because you/anyone learns the language, doesn't mean you'll be able to conversate with all of Norway, at least not understand them all.

For instance, I'm from the South-west, and people 2 hours away mostly don't understand what I say.

  • @Glufius We have many dialects in Finland too. We all speak some dialect. Our dialect here in Helsinki-area is most close to written language. And Disney movies are usually dubbed in this dialect.

  • @iHeartTangled I'm not so sure about that.. I mean the language they use disney movies is some kind of Helsinki dialect but since I don't live in Helsinki that real "stadin slangi" is often harder than any other dialect to understand.. So many foreign sounding words!:D I have had many *wtf* -moments in Helsinki:D

  • @iHiHiu I don't mean stadin slangi :D I mean the language what we speak here in Espoo (and all around Helsinki). I'm in Helsinki right now and usually only teenagers speak that slang. Adults speak normal spoken language :D

  • @iHeartTangled Likewise here.

All movies that are Dubbed are mostly with Eastern Norwegian people (Oslo).

It's mostly under extreme situations when there's an other dialect than eastern. For example, if a character genuinly angry, they might just have a Northern acent, 'cause us southern find them more "angry" then ourselves.

  • @Glufius Yes I speek Nord norsk (North Norwegian) Because I'm from Finnmark.

But I have to write in bokmål (the clean/fine norwegian)

  • @Glufius i live over 50 miles away from her that singing this song, and i am norwegian, i easly understand it, it is just some words that is different XD FAIL!

  • @HeltHektaFan1 oh, but I didn't say anything about that :)

I understand her perfectly, but people from that aera might not understand ME!

  • @Glufius haha XD

  • Hvem synger de ulike stemmene?

  • O.O wow... non-norwegians actually like our language? well... what can I say? yay...:) Our language is very pretty as long as you give it a chance i guess. :) And, it is pretty easy to learn according to some of my friends. :D I was so happy when I found the norwegian version of this song. In disney movies the songs are actually very pretty when it's in Norwegian, even though I usually prefer the original language. :D

  • I actually prefer the norwegian songs better then the norwegians ones. Det er meg da ^^

  • BEAUTIFUL! I'm only beginning to learn Norwegian (hehehe, parallel sentence structure to Eugene's: "Jeg beginner å forstår/I'm beginning to understand"^^), but I always try hard to understand bits and pieces. And obviously I was lucky to look for this today, since you put it on yesterday. :) Thanks! :)
