I got this video card and 1 Gb of ram and trust me, lags are welcome on every hight resolution games, i can run fallout 3 and my computer crashed after 15 minutes.... Strangly, it can run GTA 4, but its totally unplayable, i got too much lags

I regret grabbing a comp with this 8500 in it, im always tweaking ini files and using performance mods on every fuckin game that comes out anymore. Avoid the 8500gt like the plague.

i can play call of duty 4 on highest settings 1680x1050 this card is ok but not good for high end games like crysis

Zaharkl, sure the 8500GT can run cod4 at max settings but there's a difference between a game you can start and a game that is actually playable (don't try to tell us you get 50fps). It's always better to read reviews/benchmarks over the internet to have a good idea because some people are happy with 20fps (8500GT owners it seem) and some people say "max settings" when in fact they play without AA/AF and at crappy res.

comming from a shitty nvidia 6100 LE i loved this card, but i have come to hate it. all the games i want to play run horrible, even overclocked to the max. decent for a casual gamer but if you tend to spend over an hour and a half gaming a week that aint the card for you.

ya very good card for price, i can play all recent games at 50 - 60 fps which is perfect, with high / max settings.. i did overclock it slightly.. but i dont see how how ppl complain over 50fps.. i been playin playstation 1 & 2 for years.. and they dont run faster than 50fps
