  • Tans and Auxies dancing in hell to this!

  • @dmcc20012 I like the irony seeing as Tom had Collins done in. I think that may be part of the reason they have tried to bury Toms part in Our history,But let us not forget the struggle goes on.

  • god bless the flyin colums

  • god bless and never forgotton.32 counties

  • Did anybody else know that apparently the Japanese played this song when they captured Singapore in WW2, and were leading away 100,000 british POWs? Lol legends!

  • @RealDougal: Frankly, your attitude to the Imperial Japanes Army makes me sick. They were even more barbaric than Tans - period. No arguments, no equivocation, they just were. You want proof - google terms like "rape of Nanjing" and "Bataan Death March"

  • @NobleKorhedron I'm not saying I like them or anything, I'm just putting it out there that that one action of theirs was legendary.

  • @RealDougal huh? where did you get this information from? not that i dismiss it ... but it sounds just so ... weird. its like the same as telling me 'michael schumacher was a son (adopted) by oprah winfrey ' :)

  • @RealDougal Doesnt surprise me! General Percival was commanding the garrison! As Colonel Percival, of the Essex Regt, was a company commander in Cork in 1920. Possibly in charge of the Essex Battalion Torture Squad! Shame for all the poor buggers he led in to Japanese captivity.

  • @lavenderbay Whoa, I was wondering what you were talking about there, and then I remembered the comment I left like a year ago lol. Wee bit late for a reply, is it not? :P

  • Here's to the boys of Kilmichael..

  • The site of ambush

  • They never taught me this at school. Perhaps they were afraid I would ask for a revolver to finish the Job. What brave and honourable Men they were. And could only operate because the Women of Ireland Also fighting, but hid fed clothed and supported them. Not to mention diverting intelligence. God bless the proud Irish. Our day will come. The Fools, after all, left us our Fenian Dead. There can only be one outcome, and soon Fir agus Mna na hEeireann.Paddy

  • God rest you all lads, and all who gave their lives for Ireland.

  • gretings from Detroit. I am relatively new to the studies of Erin's cause. I have always supported a Free State of 32 and have now decided to dedicate myself fully to it. By name I have McNeill and McDonald in my lineage dating back to 1039 or so before the move to Scotland. My wife's surname is Mullins. At present my wife and I are on a rigorous schedule of learning every day and I would like to begin a corresponence with any one is for the cause.

  • I would say pick on a country yer' own size. But you dirty huns got run out by our small army. God bless the IRA, and send the huns to hell!

  • Every Black and tan who died on Irish or Scottish soil brings gladness to my heart.

Evil only belongs in Hell and thats where the Tans are now!!!.UP THE REPUBLIC!..,,,,,ps,good song by the tones.

  • Theres a legend that when percivil (the commander of the british forces stationed in macroom) was captured by the japaneese in singapore the japanese imperial band played him this song

  • Are any of these photos the actual boys or are they all replicas? I'm sorry for asking a dumb question but my grandfather was one of these boys and he died when I was only a baby so I never got to know him.

  • Well done!

  • Replaced by sas '70s, '80s, !!!! whats changed in the SIX. TAL

  • The Black and tans are known as murderes and vermin the world over.Only a small amount of sub-humans think of them as anything else.

  • thanks and May the men my great grandfather killed i hope they burn forver for what they did

  • It was brave men like your great-grandfather that saved the 32 Counties "

Actually it was 26 counties. Immediately the Anglo Irish Treaty was signed in December 1921, the 6 Ulster counties opted out and de Valera and his friends set about murdering any of their old comrades who objected.

  • 28 november 1920 wat a day

  • we will never win unless the or a kind of provisional factor came back any means neccessary n the only way is guerrilla tactics tbh. this song is class 100% xx

  • Does anyone think we are free - we are free to do waht we are told - and ruled by a crowd of Irish criminals - nothing much has changed - IMO - these people died in vain .

  • well to be an even smarter arse, they were both auxillary forces rushed into Ireland. Some of them got full uniforms and as we know some didnt, they had to mix police & soldier uniform. Do you think they named themselves the Black and Tans? We called them that, many convoys would have troops that had full uniformed soldiers and black & tans in the one group. but all this is gettin off the point,ha. Its the 28th today so have a moment for all those people who stood up to the british empire

  • Brilliant song, brilliant men

Forget not the boys of Kilmichael

O and btw hate to be a shmartarse but it was the auxilaries they triuphed over at Kilmichael, not de tans

  • @acerb45666555: Auxies were supposedly even worse? Is this true? Or were the Tans the worst of the lot?

  • @NobleKorhedron ........the combat veteran Tans i would say because they were punishing Catholics for not helping in the war. and im glad they refused to fight in a war created by corrupt merchants and strutting nobles!

  • @acerb45666555: Strutting politicians more like, but I take your point....

  • Is it just me, or does this tune strike a resemblance to seven deadly sins by the

Dubliners. Meh, must just be the opening of it.

  • If it wasn't for Cork ye would all be playing cricket like the Dubs

  • I'll take that a bit more seriously when Cork fill Croker for a friggin league game like we did last year!!

  • dublin fill croke park coz its a city 4timesda size of cork and its rite on yur doorstep.cork will get 40 or 50 thousand in croker dis week traveling a 4 hour journey.dats the equivalent of 200,000dubs travelling to cork which wud never happen. ye support a winning team ye barely get 10,000 out suppourting yer hurlers.the hill are da biggest bunch of scumbags throwing bottles at gardai, cheerin opisition players wen a ball goes wide.leave dat 2 da guerriors in england
