  • or dry rock...

  • good size tank for a starter

  • good example of "keep it simple stupid"........ love your FOWLR TANK

  • hey im new as well and nice job so far. But i found out if you put a piece of air tubing in the overflow downpipe, move it around a little, and it will eliminate the noise of the rushing water. Worked for me.

  • fish safe silicone is just silicone that isnt anti mildew

  • im new at this too... but shouldnt you have more powerjets??

  • Nice man keep it up

  • Did that sump room used to be a recording studio?

  • The standpipe in the overflow really works fantastic for the "flushing" noise. Also you can paint the the part of the overflow that goes in the tank black with krylon fusion and let it cure for a couple of days and you won't see the algae growing in it. I have used krylon fusion to paint all kinds of stuff that go in the tank with no problems just let it cure for a few days. If that is an all glass brand you can order new plastic frames for the aquarium.

  • you should get at least 3-4 blue chromis they will really make the tank livley in a school.

  • For your sump you could just silicone a piece of glass in to replace the plastic brace.

You can use GE Silicone I from a a hardware store. Much cheaper than the aquarium stuff. They are basically the same.

  • Please get this job done I wanna see the finished product since I am wanting to do the same

  • you do sound like tom hanks
