  • what is midi for? what does it do?

  • MIDI is a digital communications function on modern musical equipment. It can be retrofitted to older keyboard equipment as in this situation. In this virtual organ application, MIDI sends messages from the organ console about which notes are being played. (no sound comes from the organ). These messages go to a computer, the computer creates the sounds for the keys being played. The sounds are sent out of the soundcard of the computer to a surround sound audio system. search - virtual organ

  • I played a conn 651 for 7 years in a cinema loved it

  • HArd to tell its a computer program, well unless you see the small screen.

    But looks so realistic.

  • Sounds great. I have a 650 console and can't decide to sell it or midify it. I also have a Yamaha HX 1 for playing the Miditzer 216. I can add a keyboard for playing the 260. Trying to decide what to do with the 650.

But this is a nice set-up you have. Good playing.

  • Sounds like the Bruces Miles Sfs out of the box, and he must be really proud to hear his work worldwide. Bravo!!!

  • It certainly is the standard Bruce Miles SoundFonts straight "out of the box". I think Bruce has done a wonderful job with his SoundFonts, and Jim Henry with Miditzer to make it easy to drive the virtual ranks.

  • A great sound, well done.

  • is that yours :) ?
