Hi Al, I truly enjoy your videos, thankyou! In your opinion what has been the most aesthetically beautiful snake species you've worked with? I particularly enjoyed watching the rhino viper in one of your other videos
its funny how much a brown snake looks like a king snake, but i would say my favorite hots are Bitis Brothrops Bothriechis and Crotalus horridus atricaudatus. i wonder how hard boomslang to come by these days i never see them too much and if i do they want a heep of money for them. merry x-mas viperkeeper be safe and lets start a good year
Ok, Al. I have one more comment...a complaint, actually. I vote that all videos in the future be no less than 45 minutes long! Lol I wish. Sometimes I let two or three pile up so I DO get a full 45-60 minutes of viperkeeper's...................laaaaair. ;-)
OMG, Al!!! That Ethiopian Mountain Adder is one BEAUTIFUL reptile!!! What markings. May not have a lot of variation, but that green and the markings are gorgeous!
@TheChinchillaTV The only sea snakes I know of are from the Ocean. They are quite venomous. Sea-snakes are hard to get and enen harder to keep alive once you have them.
Have you ever raised or housed a sea snake? I dont know if its a silly question to ask or if you specialize in ONLY vipers but i would like to know if you have. and if you have, did they behave differently then the other snakes you have?
can u tell me the story how u got in to the venom snakes and do u have a wife or some kids and do they like them so if u get hurt they can take u or what sorry for asking u so many questions but i watch every video u put on thanks
Al can you show some of your smaller arboreal cages like the ones for your purple mangrove vipers and show how you heat them? Do you use radiant heat panels, ceramic heat emitters, or flexwatt?
@hockenburyj2 Currently I use a 50w basking light. Many of my cage do have RHP's, however, I do use a number of "heat rocks'. No I've never had any snakes get burnt.
@viperkeeper Thanks for the reply. I use radiant heat panels with my larger reticulated pythons and flexwatt with my ball pythons. I am looking at purchasing an arboreal species such as an eyelash viper, white lip viper, or something else after I get some more handling experience with venomous snakes. I was just wondering how you heated the smaller arboreal cages and now I will probably do the same as you. Do you still attend the hamburg reptile expo?
@viperkeeper I live in Scranton,PA and am going to the Oct 15th show. If you are going there please message me. I'd like to just meet you and talk with you for a few minutes if you have any free time. I'm in graduate school for biochemistry so, I always look forward to the all the hamburg shows as a treat haha.
@viperkeeper Ok well hopefully I'll see you there then. Which is your favorite arboreal species in your collection? I love your unboxing videos especially the one with the gaboon and rhino vipers. Do they usually tend to feed on frozen thawed rat pups right away or do you have to offer them live if they are stubborn feeders?
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my comments,
Think you might have a singing vid for us this winter season? You know, like caroling video? You could have the Naja Naja in the background dancing along too, maybe even Mr. Brown and Ms. MaiTai (Taipan) doing the herky Jerk Jerk. WHADDYA say?
ViperKeeper, I've been watching your video's for a while now, they are all so fascinating, please keep up the great work I love watching your video's :)
