  • That red spotted pit viper has sure grown since you did the extraction. Good job keeping her alive and healthy!

  • what is ur name at facebook?...sry couldn´t find viperkeeper

  • @MegaHeimscheisser Viperkeeper, public figure

  • Hi ! great vids man ! do you have a King Cobra ?

  • @DinoA87 Look in my back catalog of videos.

  • Hi Al, I truly enjoy your videos, thankyou! In your opinion what has been the most aesthetically beautiful snake species you've worked with? I particularly enjoyed watching the rhino viper in one of your other videos

  • its funny how much a brown snake looks like a king snake, but i would say my favorite hots are Bitis Brothrops Bothriechis and Crotalus horridus atricaudatus. i wonder how hard boomslang to come by these days i never see them too much and if i do they want a heep of money for them. merry x-mas viperkeeper be safe and lets start a good year

  • do you have any inland taipans? i would like to see one

  • @skateboardingcobra Watch Steve Irwin documentaries, guy. He was CRAZY about the "Fierce Snake."

  • Hey Al, I notice the change in your substrate for the vipers to I'm assuming sand. Any specific reason for that?

  • @universaldave999 Trying out a few new produces but it's not sand, it's Cyprus Mulch.

  • Have you ever had any snakes that you feel actually enjoy the company of humans?

  • @codeman55555 No, that's going a bit too far.

  • @screeminjimmy027 Not friendly, curious

  • Ok, Al. I have one more comment...a complaint, actually. I vote that all videos in the future be no less than 45 minutes long! Lol I wish. Sometimes I let two or three pile up so I DO get a full 45-60 minutes of viperkeeper's...................laaaaair. ;-)

  • OMG, Al!!! That Ethiopian Mountain Adder is one BEAUTIFUL reptile!!! What markings. May not have a lot of variation, but that green and the markings are gorgeous!

    Your Southern buddy.....Len

  • Do you own any sea snakes? Like the ones from the ocean? I heard they're very venemous.

  • @TheChinchillaTV The only sea snakes I know of are from the Ocean. They are quite venomous. Sea-snakes are hard to get and enen harder to keep alive once you have them.

  • @viperkeeper Haha. So, you don't have one?....

  • Have you ever worked with Dragon snakes (Xenodermus javanicus) ?

  • @WildlyDistracted Difficult to get, even more difficult to get them to live in captivity.

  • Glad to see those Ethiopian Mountain Vipers made it into this video! Great video as usual!

  • how much have you spent on snakes?

  • the most exciting part of the video 19.15 min. :)

  • Excellent video as always mate. I REALLY like the Night Adder, absolutely beautiful markings. I don't think you've shown that one before.

As for the P. j. xanthomelas, if you hadn't of said anything, she would have struck the foreceps, first time....I guarantee it, LOL.

  • Mr. Viper Keeper:

How Many of your Snakes have escaped from your house...?

  • WOW!! The "Snouted Night Adder" was so beautiful and unusual in a good way. I have never seen or heard of that Hot. It was really impressive looking.

  • @bullycrew Sea-snakes are hard to get and enen harder to keep alive once you have them.

  • Have you ever raised or housed a sea snake? I dont know if its a silly question to ask or if you specialize in ONLY vipers but i would like to know if you have. and if you have, did they behave differently then the other snakes you have?

  • Wich snake do you consider as your rarest?

  • @Frank332666 Bitis parviocula (Ethiopian Mountain Adder)

  • just wondering if you could sometime do a tour of the lair? i think thatd be pretty fun to see

  • @GCreptile11 It's not quite ready for prime-time.

  • @viperkeeper oh alright, understandable. im guessin you had planned on doing one when it was ready then

  • @GCreptile11 It's not quite ready for prime-time.

  • Have you ever been bitten while you were filming?

  • Every day i check for new Viperkeeper updates ;)

  • can u tell me the story how u got in to the venom snakes and do u have a wife or some kids and do they like them so if u get hurt they can take u or what sorry for asking u so many questions but i watch every video u put on thanks

  • could u show 1 of the snakes eating a live mouse i would like to see the venom kill it please thanks

  • @leos4life21 Not going to happen, sorry.

  • can u show the rhino snakes please i like them the most

  • @leos4life21 Yeah they are pretty cute

  • that snouted night adder is amazing!!! Where are they indigenous? Do they tend to head but with their mouth closed like hognose snakes?

  • @hockenburyj2 Central Africa. They do seem to strike mouth closed most of the time.

  • Al can you show some of your smaller arboreal cages like the ones for your purple mangrove vipers and show how you heat them? Do you use radiant heat panels, ceramic heat emitters, or flexwatt?

  • @hockenburyj2 Currently I use a 50w basking light. Many of my cage do have RHP's, however, I do use a number of "heat rocks'. No I've never had any snakes get burnt.

  • @viperkeeper Thanks for the reply. I use radiant heat panels with my larger reticulated pythons and flexwatt with my ball pythons. I am looking at purchasing an arboreal species such as an eyelash viper, white lip viper, or something else after I get some more handling experience with venomous snakes. I was just wondering how you heated the smaller arboreal cages and now I will probably do the same as you. Do you still attend the hamburg reptile expo?

  • @hockenburyj2 Yes, most of the time.

  • @viperkeeper I live in Scranton,PA and am going to the Oct 15th show. If you are going there please message me. I'd like to just meet you and talk with you for a few minutes if you have any free time. I'm in graduate school for biochemistry so, I always look forward to the all the hamburg shows as a treat haha.

    -James

  • @hockenburyj2 I am currently attending that show but don't think I will have a table.

  • @viperkeeper Ok well hopefully I'll see you there then. Which is your favorite arboreal species in your collection? I love your unboxing videos especially the one with the gaboon and rhino vipers. Do they usually tend to feed on frozen thawed rat pups right away or do you have to offer them live if they are stubborn feeders?

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my comments,

    -James

  • The night adder is just such a cool snake and I just love Mr. Brown!

  • saurons eye..,.... EYE SEE YOU!

  • by chance are you going to the oaks penn reptile show? because Im going and I would like to say hi

  • The Cobra's Bionomical name is Naja melanoleuca right?

  • @beyrishal That's the correct name for the forest cobra.

  • love your vids there always full of good info and entertaning

  • Nice video once again!

Intens black at the Snouted Night Adder, really beautiful.

It really looks like a hognose!

  • @viperkeeper how does one legally own so many hots? and insurance n wjatnot?

  • @gainer2420 Much easier than owning a pitbull.

  • @viperkeeper omg owning a cobra must be very awesome but very dangerous aswell!

  • @viperkeeper There's more regulations for pitbulls than venomous snakes in Pennsylvania?!

  • @gainer2420 God bless Pennsylvania.

  • That Snouted Night Adder is very attractive. It sounds like it developed in a mirrored situation to the Elapids in AUS..

  • Mr Brown has a unique personality. I remember him eating those eggs that were not fertilized like crazy.

  • Do any of the snake species you have bred protect their young?

  • Glad that Taipan settled down after the move. You have nerves of blue steel, my friend. But I swear I've seen that first segment before...

  • Big Al-

Think you might have a singing vid for us this winter season? You know, like caroling video? You could have the Naja Naja in the background dancing along too, maybe even Mr. Brown and Ms. MaiTai (Taipan) doing the herky Jerk Jerk. WHADDYA say?

  • Hey al iwas just wondering how you got your snakes used to being watered by the seringe when ever i do the same with my they always pull back.

  • @beardiefreak1122 I didn't do anything special...

  • NICE snouted night adder! Never seen that in your videos before!

  • nice vid keep it up!

  • 1st!!! wow im a loser

    Great video!

  • what snakes do you mostly get nervous around?

  • @Chosonninja11 Homo sapiens

  • Hey Al, quick question. I was wondering what you think of Donald Schultz? You know, the host of Wild Recon, and did the whole Venom in Vegas thing.

    Thanks.

  • @repticman123 No comment
