  • We had the Bee Gees and Olivea Newton John and John Travolta. I'd call it a draw.

  • Fucking awesome. Love Flipper.

  • This is so fucking brilliant. I drove my wife to distraction with this song.

  • @acalfee Mine almost left me. Time to play it some more!!

  • I'm so happy right now! That really takes me back! Thanks!!

  • Have this single. There's a skip in the end that leaves it repeating "Forget it you wouldn't understand anyway." until you lift the needle. These guys ABSOLUTELY FUCKING RULE!!!

  • Flipper classic from heaven! Cheers to poster.

  • i had this as a young teenager. today they get justin bieber & lindsay lohan. l feel like l win.

  • @cros1eyfie1d Apparently.

  • @cros1eyfie1d Teens today, like myself, have virtually unlimited access to all the stuff you had, like punk and hardcore like this. I feel like I win.

  • @muler321 yeah except for one thing your generation dosen't have to pay for it out of a record store and not go out and buy the full format LP you fuckers have it handed to you for free and steal it illegally via internet limewire

  • @jacobladders That's a bad thing? lol :D

  • @jacobladders I still purchase albums and support the scene by attending local shows and moshing :)

  • @muler321 Cept we can go to the live shows :(

  • @muler321

it's more powerful to experience the energy of something so amazing in person. there hasn't been much/ any original music-ness on par with this in over a decade. it's totally different. these videos are cultural fossils. you'll never really know. you'll never know what the 20's 50's 60s or 70s or 80s felt like. you can't.

  • @satinhooks

oops left the 30s & 40s out of my jerk rant.

  • @satinhooks The scene's still pretty great. Check out Brutal Youth, Subsistence, The Rotten, Machine Gun Dolly and Not. Just a few of the great new bands around (at least where I'm from).

  • @muler321 dude, you really dont get it, yea i love this stuff of course, and im also a teen from this era, but its this virtual shit like computers and videogames that destroys the human spirit ! nevermind, forget it, you wouldn't understand anyway...

  • @pranxasR And that's why there's still cool bands around everywhere that keep the scene real and alive. I just got back from a local show and it was amazing. Punk's not dead, it's just not as big as it once was.

  • @muler321 Nice one, man

  • @muler321 You have unlimited access to the facsimile of what we experienced. Videos and recordings are great, but you'll never know $3 matinees that lasted all day long; a city that was a virtual wild west in the east; a scene that spread by virtue of word of mouth alone; hustling to make a dollar; hooking up with the krisnas for your meals; running from the cops because they thought you were freaks; depending on your found brothers and sisters for you very survival...

  • @TheLadyHBomb That was then and this is now. The scene is still strong, at least where I'm from. Maybe not in numbers, but surely in spirit. The cops still harass punks; there's plenty of word of mouth pushing the scene forward; I've know plenty people who busk on the streets to make their money; the only difference is that the all-day matinees will set you back $6 or $7. There are still plenty of people living that sort of life, I find that I'm more of a poseur, but I stilltry to help the scene

  • @muler321 I'm glad to hear you've still got a scene going. There's one here in NY too, but there's a lot of the "being seen" thing going on, and a lot of the bands are crap. But there's still some good music coming out of the streets.

  • @muler321 yes "you may have access to everything we had and more" but one thing you will never have is the experience of going to the record store discovering new bands by the cover art getting the vinyl home smelling that new vinyl smell - all because everything is now accessible and rendered meaningless because it isn't tangible and is therefore transient- a bit sad really you "win" the music but you've lost everything else

  • @Izorpo There's still record stores where this could be done. Where I am, there's a record shop that deals exclusively with punk and hardcore. Personally, I go to the local used store and go through the $1 CD bin looking for something that might seem good.

  • One of my fave Flipper songs, I can't believe they made a video...I love that more Flipper stuff is getting onto youtube, a few years ago there was literally nothing

  • ooossom XD

  • Really nice song and video! It took me 2 minutes to understand but than it was great!

  • LMAO... someone actually gave it a thumbs down!!! I wish I could follow them around the mall for a day, I'm betting their day is really exciting, shopping... talking on the phone and stuff. Oh. what I'd give to be a phosphene dancing around in their eye juice !!!!

  • Umm... okay, like. see there was this.... and... w-and then the-.... nevermind, forget it, you wouldn't understand anyway

  • Never mind, forget it, you wouldn't understand anyway.

  • hahahahaah

  • klasse

  • oh fuck yes.

  • Lol this is hilarious

  • Im surprised they did a video for this particular song lol
