I love Matthew as a character, it's so sweet when he goes into the store to buy Anne a dress with puffed sleeves, gets overcome with shyness and starts asking for things he doesn't really need.

This is a really touching video! Most people concentrate on the Anne and Gil relationship, but they overlook one of the greatest characters in the books - Matthew. I always cry at the part where he dies, both in book and film! He is my favourite character apart from Gilbert.
