  • What pickups are you using?

  • @JosefShreve Im using the Vintage T Set from Lollar Pickups

  • Did u power your octa switch with the standard cable that came with the pedal power plus or buy a special cable?

  • @TheBuckeyes82 The Pedal Power is running the Octaswitch, I dont believe it ships with a power supply. You can also power it with 2 9v batteries.

  • which wah pedal do you use???

  • @gauravcapil I use the Buddah Budwah - I have a demo video that i made with it on my channel page if you are interested!

  • You seem to have top notch pedals so since I've just rec'd the Octa II what cables would be best? And right angle vs straight? Looks like you used right angles throughout. I'm considering the George L gold kit which is all right angle. . . Thx again! Great stuff.

  • @joelg125 I personally prefer right angled but i reckon straights would be fine too! The George ls are supposed to be nice, I use evidence audio cables and some custom ones made by a guitar tech in Denmark Street, London. In response to your other questions, my Octaswitch runs off 9v, im not sure if 18v works! The Fender amp is going from the send only from loop 8, not the return, and im not sure now it works, but when you add loop 8 to one of the presets on the Octaswitch, the Mesa is muted.

  • When you said that you have the Fender amp on the send of #8 does that mean that the Mesa is always engaged and if you add loop 8 you ADD the Fender? If not then how do you bypass the Mesa? . . . thx!

  • @joelg125 No, he's just running a send to the Fender and no return. This means the signal does not come back into the octaswitch so theres no signal to the Mesa.

  • @Bend5492 Very cool . . . makes sense! thx !

  • I just rec'd the new Carl Martin OCTA SWITCH-II. It's powered by 2 - 9v batteries but the voltage for the power supply input is not marked. Do you know if it uses 9v or 18v? . . . Thx.

  • Nice gear bud! Awesome tone! Love it. So do you use the BB Plus and mesa for EJ tone?

  • @gottfriedbrux Im glad you enjoy! The EJ sound is indeed the BB Preamp Plus into the mesa. The trick to getting the sound is strangely to turn all of the tone pots on the pedal off apart from the bass control on the 'B' side...at least that's how it works for me!

  • Thanks for the clear explanation. Helpful video.

  • nice , I also want to buy an Octa-Switch MK ll !...

  • Super Great Tone ,,,No Reverb issues ,,awesome reverb,,Nice petalboard & rundown on each to sound,,& switching capability's ,,,

  • Dude your tone is amazing but is getting killed by a little too much reverb, i would recommend turning down the reverb.

  • Im assuming it dosnt have midi? I really need a reasonably cheap switcher that does midi, pedals and amps -_-

  • @6project6nightmare6 No it doesn't have midi. I think what you need sounds like it will be an expensive bit of kit unfortunately! maybe look for some second hand stuff..gig rig or something like that.

  • @GuitarGuyLondon I was thinking about looking into The voodoo labs ground countrol and GCX switcher.... but it ends up costing a fortune. This looks pretty useful though, considering ive just started a pedal board.

  • smart thinking with the sends on those loops .. very nice sound as well my man

  • sweet set up and very nice playing.

  • Nice Eric Johnson sound.

  • Thank you for sharing. Very nice video and presentation. It would be a bit over kill for my simplistic playing as I only use a Boss BD-2, MXR Carbon Copy and BOSS DD-3 (which I actually use in a reverb settng) and a TU-2.

  • @ArtDonna84 Thanks for watching! Sounds like you have a nice set up!
