Another superb job Buddy. Also nice of you to roll out a whole lot more of your guitar collection to make me envious. Are you delibrately going out of your way to hurt me? You really are a very lucky boy, although I bet you've worked damned hard to obtain all those gorgeous toys. No doubt you deserve them. Really beautiful work again, but I've come to expect this sort of quality from your posts. I hope to be 1/50th as good as you someday.
@micktube64 Thanks! I'm just an average player and I hardly get a chance to play anymore because I work all of the time...but I still love to play music when I can.
Do the strings on a 12 string tune in like a standard guitar? 2e's 2a's 2d's 2g's 2b's 2e's. I'm just startin out on guitar, & a friend gave me a 12 string guitar with no strings on it. I want to buy the strings, but I'm not sure how to tune it in......
Hey brother, that was very well done. I especially like the runs in the minor section. If you get the chance, try playing this capo2, but leaving the E open. You might like the resonance you get when you have that low note in the D chord. Either way, fantastic playing.
Great, I enjoy it very much, often. I was able to play it on my 12 string (FD400SC) thanks to you. I really enjoy playing it thanks to you. Keep the 12 string songs coming. Again thanks a bunch.
I probably should smile more...but I don't really think about it. My mind is usually focused on the music I am playing. To be honest on this particular video, I felt really bad after a day at work and was in a lot of pain and I guess it came through...LOL -BC
Thanks! The closest thing I suppose I have done to a Blue Grass tune is a song I used to do with a Praise and Worship group called "The Happy Song". It's pretty much BG with a my attempt at a Bluess Grass feel and lead part. I have it on MP3 and I just might upload it sometime. -BC
Hi Jimmy! I upgraded to this guitar about 3 months after I bought the other one. I sold it to a female soldier going to Iraq...at a loss, but I didn't care. I figured she'd need it for a comfortable diversion. The TF250SMC-12 normally sells for about $2200-$2300 US Dollars(You'll have to do the conversion). They are fine guitars and you'll like one if you pick one up. -BC
boy i wish i could play bass for you. i think you are great! you play the songs we play in our band and i always learn from you. thanks, jim from day trip'n
Hey BC Have You Ever Tried To Play Tennessee Flat Top Box Before? Reason I Ask Is After Watching Some Of Your Videos You Sound Like You Would Enjoy Doing That Song. Gotta Give You Credit Your A Heck Of A Guitarist Keep Up The Good Work. God Bless
I ran the guitar through my studio monitors on this one...and I may have put a little chorus on it but I can't remember. The 12-string has the natural chorus sound without any effects added. -BC
I will have to do some Neil Young stuff and some Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young tunes as well. I love all of that stuff. I met David Crosby once and in 1990, Graham Nash actually dedicated a song to my youngest daughter(she was a baby at the time) during a CS&N concert in Wilmington, NC. The song was "Teach Your Children". -BC
how much are those guitars? i love the tone, and your playing is so awesome! great beatles cover! it takes some serious skill to be able to do that on a 12 string.
isn't there a 6 string that sounds similar in tone?
Thanks for watching! The Takamine TF 250 SMC-12 retails for around $3200 and you can get one on sale for around $2300+- . They are nice guitars and are very well made. -BC
Buddy, you have reproduced the sound so perfectly in your other Beatles videos, that I'm curious why you chose the 12 string for this when the recording clearly is a 6 string. However this does sound like Take 1 though. Is that what you were reproducing?
