Considering how much havoc Russia caused with the whole shutdown of that pipeline a month or so ago, the EU is more like Russia's bitch more than anything else. I doubt very highly they would come to your rescue if the United States were to attack you.

And guess how you produce the energy to create those goods. It couldn't POSSIBLY be from Russian oil and gas, now could it? How do you expect to not only produce goods, but produce them in meaningful numbers without their prices being sky-high so as to still be competitive in the world market, but by using Russian resources, like coal, oil, and uranium? Renewable energy? Biofuels? Nothing but pipe dreams based off of faulty reasoning.

I mean, come off it. Wind is only useful when the wind is blowing. Solar only works during the daytime and requires a massive land investment. Hydro only works where there are rivers and streams. Geothermal only works well where the ground is geologically active. Fusion is about fifty years away.
And biofuels. Yes, let's burn our crops and not think about the potential consequences of using food for fuel. Nothing like a mass famine to make people think twice.

Norway is the third biggest oil exporter and third biggest gas exporter in the world and we helped gazprom with the texhnoleghy to pump recorses. Russia is bacwards when it comes to that,lately they have bought oil from poor countries in asia cheap and sold it in europe for european prices. When those countries demanded european prices russia culd not produce after the european demands for a long while. They have problems drilling deep inuff so they get the oil pumped up in pressure.

It is by the whim of Russia that the European Union will die, much like it is by the whim of the Middle East that the United States will die. We are all dependent on these "backwards" nations because they have the resources we need to continue our industries and commerce. Just out of interest...what legal right do EU police have to be in Kosovo, a state not recognised by half of the world's nations ( including some European countries ) ? The United Nations Court has yet to decide on the status of this "state".
Good luck to the officers on the ground who are no doubt doing a good job....but is it legal ?

IF Lisbon is ratified :
1.ALL legislation will come from the un-elected Council in Brussels.
2.They can lawfully change anything in previous Treaties ( Article 48 ).
3.The Executive retains the RIGHT to dissolve national parliaments anytime it wishes.
4.The Lisbon Treaty ( Art.1.2:1-6 )abolishes the Nation State & replaces it with the EU Nation.
