I think it was Marco Ruas , Bas had with him.Well unknown to Emin Bas had someone secretly filming it, & Bas has said if he ever hears Emin claimed he beat him etc, he will release the film. A pro fighter training with top people, against a WT clown training with WT buddies, obvious who would have won. Also WT Anti Grappling crap won't work against someone really skilled in grappling.

The best fighter in WT is meant to be Emin Boztepe, I have seen him first hand. In WT he is one of the best, so what! There are few good fighters in WT. Any good MMA person especially a competitive one would wipe the floor with Boztepe - Boztepe rarely spars hard, trains only with his own WT bums & he is better than all of them. A competitive MMA person is training with best and against resisting opponents trying to hurt them. I think it likely that Boztepe himself knows WT.....(cont.)

@mmabl agree, if you are practicing chi sao, nice partner drills, traditional weapons, forms, etc - it may make you into a deadly killing machine but I would say actually fighting against resisting opponents, practicing only practical techniques you could use in a fight is far more productive! If WT sparred hard head up, funny footwork weight on back leg, etc against good MMA people they would get such a beating it would make them want to change things, they are deluded!

The above video is like an Aikido demo nicely choreographed!Wing Tsun people rarely fight or do hard sparring, they do lots of drills against people not trying all out to hurt them; which gives them false sense of security their BS works.MMA people train harder are more conditioned / train with better people / fight and spar against real resisting opponents / will use lethal techniques punches to throat eyes etc in real fight = no WT joker could beat a good MMA guy in a cage or on the street.

I agree that LT and Willy Cheung are just money makers. Kernspecht is no better at all. He was the one who turned WC or WT into a European frachise system that filled his pockets and left his students clueless about real trapping arts. Instead he had the learn stuff he took from Jeet Kune Do. Bruce Lee and Jessie Glover developed the Lat Sao drill. Kernspecht modified the drill to have it look like WT and fooled his students for decades with that stuff, as it requires the JKD stance to work.

@jbravo41 First off, its Lap sao. Second, Bruce Lee did not develop it. It was passed down to Bruce Lee and Grandmaster William Cheung through their training with Yip Man, who learned it from his grandmaster, who learned it from his grandmaster, and so on....the JKD stance is just the modified wing chun stance. Remember, Bruce Lee had to add his own footwork because he was taught the modified style which had no footwork. Typically, you have to over compensate for that with more hand work.

@mightymeatmonsta He also had to devise footwork. If you notice Bruce Lee's footwork, it no where near the Wing chun footwork. There is no entry technique or T stance as in the traditional style. He was disgusted with the so-called boundaries that WC put on him,so he decided to take the best of all styles, combine them, and call it Jeet Kwoon Do, the way of the interpeting fist. Really though, if BL was taught traditional style, he might not have ever developed JKD, because WC is complete.

The MMA guy won't need jiu jitsu against a WT fighter, because he wouldn't have to get on his back. It would be boxing, some lowkicks than a (wrestling) takedown and punching/knees/elbows on the ground. Maybe an armbar if the WT fighter tries to punch back and exposes his arm like a noob with no submission defence. Or he turns his back to avoid being punched in the face and gets back mounted and choked out with a rnc.

The WT each man teaches is very different, so it cannot be the 'most effective fighting style ever' as there is no style, just a set of easily misinterpreted principles. It is not even a system as that implies something far more organised. WT does not exist.

Many westerners like to fake thenselves as "grandmasters". You can only be qualified a grandmaster when u sit for an examination in China under the critical trial of 5 to 20 Chinese grandmasters for ~ 40 days.

Exception circumstances is a passing of mandate from an accomplished grandmaster. In Korea, China and Japan, u must have a PhD in that field.
