Let's remember that the NT was written in GREEK. When u look up dogs in Matthew 7:6, this Greek word is kyōn and here as a metaphor it means a man of an impure mind, an impudent man. Dogs can also be interpreted as savage or snarling haters of truth and righteousness.
This same verse Y'shua commands us, "neither cast ye your pearls before swine." I bet u think He was literally talking about pigs huh?
