I'm no one to talk about bass choices, but I'm wondering if a 6 string or a 5 string strung EADGC would be easier for this song than changing positions to go much higher.

@oniman13 Yeh probably a 5 string would be easier but think about it, you'll get more girls with a 4 string

@oniman13 it depends on what you're used to (4, 5, vs. 6-string), but I find YYZ quite a bit easier on my 6-string, primarily due to the narrower string-spacing. Having the high C is nice because it gives you the option to experiment with different hand positions/ways to play certain parts, but I don't think it makes a critical difference. The advantage of a 6 is mostly felt in your right hand. I definitely recommend trying it this way, but the wider-neck does take some time getting used to.
