i wouldnt say there is anything \inherently\ wrong w/ Islam. ive been friends w/ many Muslims, and many ppl of many faiths, after having studied most of them my findings were that all roads lead to the Source of Life. its just the understanding of the deity that changes, as well as most "idolatrous" faiths dnt worship the idols & really only believe in, again, One God. we're all the same.

@cherifa123 actually, the Jews are pretty neat. they have been shown to have the highest collective IQ of any ethnic group in the world yet measured, they are remarkable survivors, they have a documented Biblical history, and ancient and modern ties to Israel. it is indeed a unique situation, and unique outcomes apply. exactly because it is the Jews, and exactly because they are different.

@cherifa123 well if i'm a Palestinian and you're Jewish, i wouldn't like the idea, but you can't deny that the history of the Jewish people is deeply and unfoldingly linked to this land, and to all of the land now claimed as Palestine. it's a unique land, a unique ethnic conflict, and a unique claim and inheritance that the Jews have. just because we don't like or can't understand something doesn't mean it is wrong, or shouldn't happen. it does, and will.

Israel may be a patch of dirt, but it's a consecrated patch of dirt, and not in the middle of no where. it borders the Medditeranian, and in ancient times was very near to the major civilizations of the world : Egypt, Assyria, the Medo-Persian Empire, Greece, and Rome. the promise between YHWH and Abraham precedes writing, Sir. and while these promises were written, the unfolding of the history of the Jews in this land does indeed back up their claims, as does the modern state of Israel.

Israel is not any land, and the Jews are not any people. what they proclaim is not an excuse, but a reason grounded in history. is it ok to bulldoze a Palestinian's house? no, but neither is it reasonable to expect Jews to not want land back claimed by Palestine. not everything the State of Isarel does is compassionate or right, but as a State to expect neutrality on claims to land claimed as Palestine is also naive. historically, the Jewish people will get that land, even if others decry it.

@cherifa123 there's nothing cold about history, and facts, Cher. this is what we see, this is why we see it, and the roots of these present day happenings are found in Scripture. Jews who were once strangers in foreign lands are coming back to Isarel, from every corner. it's a fact, and behind every person there's a history. i'm thankful that in all the world, this unique and blessed people have a nation to call home.

@cherifa123 if by cold you mean historically accurate, true, Scripturally prophesied, and happening right now, then all these latter things describe the State of Israel. we do indeed see many Jews coming back to the land of their fathers, from every corner of the globe. i find it an exciting and unfolding topic of study, and anything but cold.

@cherifa123 if by manifest destiny, you mean that the creation of the state of Israel as a homeland for the Jewish people being in God's plan, then yes. Biblically He does promise to bring back His Jewish people to the land He promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the state of Israel has a huge role in allowing this to happen. we see Jews from Ethiopia, Afghanistan, India, all over Europe, and various other regions making their way back there, over the past few decades.
