  • I set up a 6 monitor setup with a mac pro with 6 23" Viewsonic displays. Originally it used a 5870 eyefinity 6 edition, so it would not be able to boot up in to OS X, but now i'm switching to GTX 590s.

  • The wal mount was a custom made one...

  • These ones were 2x 24" and 2x 17"...

Check out my other video for my new setup, although I have changed it a little bit since, will post another one once I have finished.

  • what size monitors are those and what wall mount do you use??? ;3

  • @fimbles101 OSX has much better multimonitor support out of the box than Win7...

X-Plane works really well on this setup and if I really want to, I can boot into Windows for gaming (but that need hasn't arisen yet)

  • Dance Commander by Electric Six

  • Song??

  • The song please???

  • Why have a multi monitor apple? the way you have them set out is for gaming, and apples are retarted at gaming?

  • impressive jerk-off station

  • nerd :)

  • aaaand why did you say u needed 4 monitors for again??

  • very nice!

  • SLI yes ?

  • 1) Added using extra video cards

    2) I bought parts from eBay or work

    3) The WHOLE setup? I'd rather not think about it!

  • @tjv82c dude all you have to do is get one good card and they make splitters out there with multiple hook ups

  • Three questions.

1] How did you add the multiple monitors? (through a USB adaptor or new graphics card)

2] Where can I buy this? (as in the answer the question above)

3] How much did the set up cost?

  • The only game I've really played on it is X-Plane.... And that doesn't really need monitors of the same size! Apart from that, I just have an xbox plugged into one of the displays!

  • @tjv82c u dont have too many games to test multi monitor on apple any way

  • whats it like gaming with monitors that aren't the same size?

  • BAD ASS SETUP, OMG

  • wow.. this is awesome!! how much would a set up like this cost i wonder?

  • this got to be the coolest most symmetrical look ive seen. really awesome ^_^

  • Working on a new setup at the moment... will post a video once done... hoping it will look even cleaner than this setup!

  • it's ok, BUT you require at least one monitor mounted vertically above the others for it to qualify as a "Command-Centre".

Bonus points for the custom stand though :)

  • Thanks :-)

New setup has a 5th screen... but mounted below because it's a Wacom...

  • use of wacom cintiq is a grey area in the official definition of "Command Centre".

I currently favour 4 screens in the 3below, 1 above-centre arrangement. i still dont have the perfect blend of individual screensizes though... and technically one needs 6 monitors really, or 7 like in "swordfish"

  • awesome!

  • "on my MacPro"

I guess that means no single video card solution and a ridiculous pricetag.

Are you even going to use that thing for work?

  • I could've got away with some USB video adapter solutions... but technically this was cheaper for me...

Only use Citrix for work... but its handy to put Citrix onto one of the side screens and keep working on personal stuff!

  • When I need lots of monitors and don't want to eat slots in a system I use a matrox D-TH2G in some cases, I'm not sure if it's as capable on OSX as on Windows.

Why not have a cheap box for Citrix, and why a Mac Pro? XenApp and every Citrix app that comes to mind is on Windows Server.

    Seems like burnt money.

  • i might actually cum.

  • damn... :D

  • daaaaamn

  • Custom made one..... Spend a weekend with my dad and Voila!

  • What kind of stand are you using?

  • Leet!!!

  • Beaut.
