I'm glad to see so much interest in Romero's music. He is a great talent & a very nice person. Some of you expected tab for this tune to be on the DVD. Only the exercises are tabbed & notated. Sorry. LickSamples is a Japanese company, and they created the tab from Romero's playing. Don't short change yourself; you can learn bossa nova guitar from the DVD & book. If you really want it, write Romero and ask him for a lead sheet. If his site isn't up yet, PM me for the address.....

@soullessSiIence When you say "sounds beautiful" what do you mean? Do you mean the guitar itself, or the piece? Romero is improvising the 2nd chorus. He is certainly capable of improvising as many choruses as you like. All in real time, not laboriously learned note-for-note. He is the composer as well.

Anyway, there's a guy who copied this tune and plays it a lot like Romero, so it is possible the learn the fingerings.'dantelae' has posted a version without sync problems, and chords as well (no melody)

It is detrimental to people's understanding of the instrument, and is the main reason that everyone with a guitar and access to tabs.com thinks they can play the guitar. I am sure you are having much difficulty switching over to sheet music, no? And not to be difficult, but I have to continue hating on tab. It just rubs me the wrong way.

It was a great starting point for me and anyone who didnt happen to have more conventional musical training. You may hate because it is a shortcut but with some initiative and google you can learn a lot.

I was just making the point that I don't think that anyone should even start using it because it teaches people to play fret numbers and strings rather than music. Just saw Romero (with Luciana Souza) last night @Montreal Jazz Fest. What a treat, what a discovery, what a vocabulary of incredible chords that are so easily and effortlessly stretched to the no-limits.

I saw them in Chicago, fantastic! If you want to hear more SOLO Romero (no other instruments), buy "Coisa Fina", where he accompanies Leny Andrade (who herself is amazing). He overdubs a lead line on at least one cut, but it's clear when he's overdubbing. I think I can guarantee you'll like it!

Old DiGiorgio are really superb handmade acoustic guitars, I do have one (33 years old, I love my guitar!!!), but Romero usually plays a Takamine guitar in shows.
