Cont; to my ears and I thought whats Rock N Roll??.The next wk I went to my cousins in Stratford East London and she playing a record of a new Guy from America called Elvis Presley singing Heartbreak Hotel.After that all I could do was hum these songs in my head I did a weekend job in a butchers shop saved up and got myself a Dansette electric record player and went straight out and bought a couple of skiffle numbers and Elvis records.

I was a young crooner rock n roll was in its infancy, much frowned upon by the Big bands, it was at the Carlton ballroom in Rochdale where I was resident male vocalist with the George Roberts Band and doing this one was a then major departure from the norm, but the dancers loved it............................­........
