Yeah that makes alot of sense since all the American car companys are making 500 hp v8s with the new challenger and camaro and soon a cuda. Those v8s run on 4 cylidners then switch over to 8 when you crack into them. switchin cylinders constantly can't possibly be good for a car. i'm not for or against either side of engine styles, i love a V8 and a turbo'd four banger...but i don't think it'd be good for a car to have to be switching from 8 cylinders to 4 and back again. are they really reliable? i'm just asking.

They are on the roads everyday. Almost every Dodge v8 you see on the road has them. All the hemi dodge trucks have them and its been in use for awhile now so it does work. Alot of your Chevys have it to as well as Ford.

the car is nice i have a ix mr and test drove the evo x but the evo x wasen't as fast as my ix mr so i kept her and out side of handling the ix is faster i post 0 to 60 in 4.5 sec stock with my nine the evo x i ran 0 to 60 in 5.0 sec and the 1/4 in 13.9 at 100 so to all you evo fans if you already have an older evo like a 8 or a 9 keep it cause the new x is slower.

MR has more stuff. GSR is the base model of the evo. MR has heavier twin clutch transmission and gsr has a normal manual. MR jus has a lot of extra features. that's why its heavier.

Your 1/4 mile times have nothing to do with handling. The evo X is the best handling evo ever and that's straight from Mitsubishi. Racing is not always drag.

lol new evo is slower around track than the old evo but only slightly, watch the 2008 STI vs 2007 STI, vs Evo 10, vs Old Evo. both Evo 10, SST and 5spd came in last place, evo ix 5spd came 3rd, old sti 2nd, and new STI first. evo x and ix are closly similar track times newayz.
