This is so thought provoking, thank you. I think it is possibly easier to censor children's TV viewing in England, but it will probably become more difficult as we follow (which we inevitably will) the US.
It's also very interesting to hear your ideas about toys with already formed identities. My 1 year old plays with baby toys inspired by TV which I'd never really considered to be detrimental, but I can see how anonymous toys can inspire more imagination.
