@darthtrabia irrelavant?  We got a berth into champions league because we won.. that's pretty relevant. We also won it our first year in MLS. Then the next year... and then this year. So it may not be relevant to you because your team has no depth, but it sure is relevant in Seattle.

I disagree with your assessment of Morgan's ability. I'm not sure who is faster between Carrasco and Morgan, but skill accuracy wise, Morgan is superior than Carrasco. Carrasco might be stronger and bigger than her, but he plays defensive midfield, so I would expect him to have those qualities.

@milloselmejor haha maybe. I didn't really mean it as a serious comparison. I just meant that Morgan compared to women is much better than Carrasco compared to men. The problem is in sports like soccer it's difficult for women to compete on any level with men.

Hell yeah they outdraw the galaxy and chivas USA combined. The franchise also tries to make it one big supporters group atmosphere. The Sounders are the MODEL of what an MLS franchise should be like. I love it when DREW said the only expansion team in the league is the LA GALAXY, couldn't be truer.

Best franchise in MLS right now by far. This is what futbol is about. The average attendance at Seattle is more than the galaxy and chivas usa's combined home attendance, how sick is that!! I love how all of fans seem like one giant supporters group as opposed to the crap they have here in LA.

@CashSmeller it's the American version of the FA Cup, it includes all divisions of American pro and semi- soccer. It's a knockout single elimination tournament. The MLS teams get the advantage of higher seeds and first round byes. Also It's the oldest soccer tournament in North America.

@CashSmeller Its a Cup tournament like other soccer leagues in the world have that give all teams in the country a chance to win silverware. That way, even if you aren't the best team in the league, as long as you put together a string of good games you can still Win something, get prize money, and qualify for the CCL.

Not a bad time to come into your best form of the year, they've proved themselves in the open cup, and are the only team still alive in the Supporters Shield race. They have 2 big tests left with MLS Cup and CCL, can't wait to watch :)

Seattle Seattle !! Amazing! and congratulation to team and fans! When I first moved there I did not even want to hear the word Sounders. Since Zigi things have really changed. They are playing incredible soccer. World Class not yet (United 7 - 0) but they are indeed on the way there. They just need to clean up clearing the ball successfully, meaning clear it to your own team mate, play open space soccer and ball control.

@MrGinbot you gotta remember with that MU scoreline, though, it was only 1-0 with all the starters. the 6 goals came in the 2nd half when all but maybe 2 or 3 of the 11 on the field were 2nd stringers. still agree, not world class yet, but we're on the right track! as for Fucito, i dont know if i'd call him a greedy player. he had lots of chances this game that he couldnt pass up a shot (though there were some he shoulda passed middle). i'd say he's looking for goals to prove himself to Zigi.

@MrGinbot Remember that Man U also beat Arsenal 8-2 in a match that actually counted so losing to them 7-0 doesn't say much bad about Seattle. It also kinda legitimizes the Cosmos and MLS Alstar's failures against them. Man U's not just doing that against American sides, they're doing that to everyone.

Losing the Champions League title in their own backyard left a sour taste in their mouths.

As a Dynamo fan, I would like to congratulate Seattle. I didnt believe Chicago even had the chance to win the US Open Cup. On top of all that, Seattle has a really good fan base, and what's I like to see, especially in the MLS.
