I wish that they would re-release this title for Xbox 360, PS3, and the Wii. I'm almost about to get a PS2, just to play these songs, I love the 80's!

He was approached by those behind Rock Band to create a signature game based on his music. I am paraphrasing, but he didn't seem to have much of a problem with games such at GH and RB, but he'd much rather inspire people to learn and play his music utilizing real instruments. Being both a fan of Prince and music rhythm games, I totally respect his decision and the reasoning behind it.

guitar hero is NOTHING like playing a real guitar. it actually probably hurts you if you are trying to learn to play guitar. It is very misleading on how the fingering works for a real guitar.., bottom line, JUST BUY A REAL FUCKING GUITAR, DORKS!!!!

The downside of this game is there aren't as many songs as there is on 1, 2, (and now 3 will have around 75). And, there aren't as many items to buy in the Store.

Other than that, this game was incredibly easy. I play this more than II.

Here's an anwser to alot of the questions here. Yes its GH2, no its not custom songs. Rockin The 80s is pretty much a mod of GH2 thats holding people off for GH3 in October. Also, the unlock character in this game is the Grim Ripper, again... The only downside to this game is less gameplay. It is possible to beat career mode in a couple hours and there isnt any songs to buy. The upside is that there are good songs on this one (no metallica yet).
