  • Why are crackers still in your house if you're dieting? Refined flour is empty calories, you can barely digest it... Diet mode is hardcore, you eat at home or the food you prepare and bring with you, no eating out. You need to get rid of any "treat" food you still have at home, diet is life change, you can't cheat yourself.

  • So I came to this video for inspiration but it seems like you were trying to make it sound like you are not getting obessed in this video with losing weight, but thats totally how it came acrossed to me. I have been in the modes where I want to only eat 500 cals but my husband would kick me in the but whenever I mention it. Are you doing any sort of working out? And your adding laxatives??? not very inspirational for me.

I came across her blog awhile ago and I purposefully didn't bookmark it because I thought the methods that she actually used to lose the weight were just so strange.. Starvation diets? Water fasting? Forced ketosis and intense exercise 3 times a day? Laxatives?... I'd be hating life doing all that just to stay thin! Especially since I know you don't have to live like that to lose weight.

  • i ate 3 egg whites for brekfast, carrots for a snack, lean cuisine for lunch, apple for snack, and a salad with grilled chicken for dinner....and lost more weight than i did fasting.

  • You should never weigh yourself everyday. Too many variables come into play. Simple things like a couple extra glasses of water or too much salt can trick you into thinking you've gained weight. The best thing to do is not use a scale at all and gauge your progression by looking in the mirror. If you can't do that, at least minimize the scale to once a week.

  • never starve yourself my dear, if you want a really good weight loss, drink two ensures a day and two protein drinks and if you get hungry never snack on banana or apple, never starve yourself dear the can do alot of damage and straving yourself at first will help you lose weight but in the process of straving your metabolism slows down and the little bits of food that you are eating will be instantly stored to fat and not processed.

    I lost 100lbs the last 15 pounds are the hardest to get off.

  • when you starve yourself your body starts eating into your muscle, and when you become glycemic i would recommend those glucose tablets, they are only 15 calories and they stablize your blood sugar..heres a great tip, eat alot of watermelon and strawberrys, they are low calorie and give you tons of energy, your diet should be around 800 calories the LEAST in 1 day..good luck sweety and NEVER starve yourself, xspecially if your diabetic like i am..

  • I lost 10 pounds in 8 days... just by drinking 8 glasses of water a day... after 3 weeks, I lost 22 pounds lol.

  • Dont be affraid to eat a few carbs, especially in the first half of the day.....here is the deal, you burn alot of calories when you sleep....if you eat about 6 meals a day and you cut each of those meals into 1/3 of what they would normally do, you will turn your metabolic rate to HIGH. drink lots of water BEFORE MEALS and ease up for a bit after so it has time to sit in your tummy for a bit.

  • Listen, there are ways for you to loose weight that include starvation to a degree but are much healthier. First, if you are going to eat meat DONT eat hamburgers. Chicken, turkey, and steak are much better choices, if you are going onto a restricted diet, i would reccomend to allow for 800-1000 calories. if done correctly you can loose weight and still be healthy. Get a CHEWABLE multi-vitamin and eat one every 12-24 hrs (careful about OD on iron and such)

  • one thing i forgot is if you go under 1200- 800 calories a day us risk starvation mode, you really need to be monitered by a professional if you go that route, most of the time it will cause you to lose weight short term with very bad health side effects especially if your young, and as soon as you increase your calorie intake you will store everything in fat. the formula below is the basic one to lose AND gain weight. to gain muliply your weight by 18 instead. good luck any questions email me

  • heres an example: weight 195 x10=1950 calories per day. 1950 x .15%(protein)=292.5 calories from protein, 292.5/4=73grams of protein.1950 x .30%(fat)=585 calories from fat, 585/9=65grams of fat, 1950 x .55%= 1072.5 calories from carbs, 1072.5/4=268grams of carbs. therefore should be eating 65 grams of fat, 73 grams of protein, and 268 grams of carbs, daily with lot of water and a centrum for women, i made the fat intake higher because i'm assuming your young and female.

  • most people dont eat well so i would supplement with a multiviatimin and it is very important you drink ALOT of water while losing weight, two clear urinations per day would be safe. Your calorie ratio should consist of 50-70% carbs, 1 gram of carb=4calories, protein 10-15% 1gram of protein=4calories, 20-30% fat, 1gram of fat= 9 calories. you have to do a little math but its not tough. the method of losing weight like i said is simple, but actually doing it take a tremedous amount of discipline

    the basic formula is as follows: multiply your weight by 10, that equals how many calories you should be consuming daily and maintain good exercise. i.e. cardio to burn calories, and help cardiovascular and respiratory systems. monitor your weight for two weeks, if you feel ok and your losing weight stay with 10, if your still maintaining or gaining mulitply weight by 9. monitor weight every day,adjust every 1-2week

  • Also, eat a small meal before working out. Drink about half a bottle of water ten-twenty minutes before cardio. Do cardio before weights AND AFTER for best results. You gotta do more than three times a week for 25-30 lbs. Honestly, if you starve yourself, you are losing the wrong kind of weight and will gain it back really quickly when you're done with the whole ordeal. It's stupid. I really hope you read this before you do permanent damage. Change your diet and read labels. Watch food inc too

    I just figured this out these past two weeks.

    Usually I'm at home eating and eating but now I've stopped the excessive eating and now I eat maybe 2 meals the most a day. In the past 2 weeks I've lost 4 pounds just by drinking loads of water and not eating so much and the most exercise I get is from walking around hanging out with friends.

    I'm actually gonna start the Shaun T Insanity program here on Monday so we will see how that turns out.

  • hmmm, i used to weigh around 210, being 5"9. i didnt quite starve myself but i only ate once a day like a normal meal i didnt matter what i ate. after like 3 months the lowest i weight'd was 139.i weigh 150 now and am keeping it like that but eat one meal a dail prefferably at lunch time.

  • Well that is just lying. I am a Buddhist and there are ascetics who decrease food intake, or even fast as part of the Theravada tradition. All of the studies done on monks fasting have shown metabolic decrease as part of fasting. You can spout psuedo-spiritual mumbo-jumbo but it doesn't matter if your intent is sacrificial or superficial a metabolism just knows it is starving. Period.

  • There is no functional difference between fasting and starving. A fast is something you go on, by which you willing starve yourself. Medical science has said time and time again that the human body can survive fasting/starving but it is not appropriate for weight loss. By definition you will slow down your metabolism and just gain more weight later.

Obesse, I'd guess depressed, I think she missed the chapter on starvation dieting where it said that 60% of weight loss comes from protein being gained by metabolizing your muscle mass. If at she's at 200lbs, 40% body fat, and looses 50lbs by fasting then she will be 150lbs, and 45+% body fat.  When she starts eating. BOING she gains 20lbs....

  • How about just getting off your ass and getting some exercise. After a massive bought of depression I gain 200lbs. I was at 400. I am now back into the 200s without doing anything drastic to my diet. I cut back on carbs and junk food (just to balance things out) and increased my protein a little.  I got off the sofa, put down the book and started biking. 150lbs in less then a year, no pain, no illness, just more energy, and fun.

    I'm trying to lose about 5 pounds (I'm not that fat, just have a little bit "extra" in the abdomen area that I want to get rid of). All I'm doing is working out more and replacing candy for fruits and vegitables.

    Starving is risky. If works at first but down the road your metabolism will just keep slowing down.

  • ketosis-its a physiological condition produced due to energy imbalance. When some1 starvs, liver burns the fats, producing fatty acids and ketone bodies. Ketone bodies are type of amino acids, one of them is acetone, which is responsible of ketone-odor from the mouth and micturition! Starving is no gud tho :-(.
