There are many different kinds of bullets. A full metal jacket or armor piercing round would fare differently from a soft lead bullet. I'm sure they wouldn't outright destroy the sword, but they might ruin the edge, and an armor piercing round would possibly distort the metal.

As for facts, try these out for size; A typical sniper bullet would be the .308 Winchester or .338 Lapua, which any monkey can find pictures of on Google. Have a look.

Yea.. okay. I actually challenged a katana fan boy to a cutting contest at a sword gathering. He had some $4,000 Katana from Japan and I had my $900 something Albion Baron longsword. We did many targets including a quarter sized diameter metal pipe. His Katana cut through fine but It dented the shit out of his edge and chipped as well.
