Most people actually though the guy would win - but at the stare down @ :20 everyone knew he was in touble.

Man-women fighting is always interesting. I met the (superior) female national karate champion in a fight and I took her easily just using my left (bad) arm. She is also heavier than me. I'm not into competition. Women are really at a disadvantage in fighting if the man is on the same fighting experience/training level as her. If not trained, any kid could win over an adult. The element of surprice would aid substancially too.
It wasnt the least bit sporting if one gives consideration to the fact that Sunshine Fettkethers male opponent, Randy Pittman, was not even a trained fighter. However, that having been said, Fettkether can be forgiven for she had been duped into believing that her male opponent, Mr. Pittman, was a trained boxer.
It is strange though that after doing a full walkout barefoot she did not object at all to his wearing hard soled shoes, thinking that somehow she could turn this to her advantage.
In Muay Thai a lot of the striking surfaces for techniques are bone elbows,knees, shins and forearms. However in this match the supposed KO is with a hook kick done with the sole of the heel. She was apparently confident that her feet were hard and calloused enough to pull this off wo an athletic shoe.
She's barefoot because she's obviously a Thai-stylist. He looks more like a tae kwon do stylist. Is this a fixed fight? Maybe. This is a non-sanctioned match, and anything can happen.
But there are thousands of kickboxing matches each year, and no one wears shoes, and toes being smashed has never been a problem.

If this woman would have fought a male say about 6.3 and fit, giving that the man would actually try to fight her, she would be toast. The woman was a professional, the man was not. She was more muscular and knew how to fight. He lacked the skills necessary to be competitive. So, a trained woman can defeat a relatively novice male. It would have been fun to match her with a trained man of her weight and age and not tell her until she was in the ring. Man-women fighting is always interesting. I met the (superior) female national karate champion in a fight and I took her easily just using my left (bad) arm. She is also heavier than me. I'm not into competition. Women are really at a disadvantage in fighting if the man is on the same fighting experience/training level as her. If not trained, any kid could win over an adult. The element of surprice would aid substancially too.

Personally though, I am fine with having regular strength. I think men need to stop pressuring each other, with this who is stronger theory. This was in Mesa, Arizona about seven years ago. It was local event called "King of the Cage". They had several weight divisions and a womens division as well - but this girl (Sunshine Fettkether) did not have a valid opponent so they had her to fight a male who they thought would be a good match - he was not "just some drunk from the crowd" as people on this board have stated but he was a novice who just started training. He listed his fight record as "15-7 in bar fights" LOL. Poor guy.
