  • thats what happens now that i put a new engine on mine and reasembled it.

  • yeah ive had mine for about a year in a half still runs great they are hard to work on though

  • You dont want whellies in demand you will grind you gears way to much

  • did you tune your? mine wont do a wheelie for its life

  • how do you get yours to wheelie mine will not

  • my jato works awesome..very quick

  • what kind of tires do you have on it because i can't seem to get enough traction with the anacondas to do wheelies

  • @EVOGENONE boil the kettle and pour on the tyres. or use a hair dryer. you'll get a ton of grip.

  • good luck with that 3.3 i bet after another gallon or so you will notice it getting alot more slower i have read every where that peoples 3.3 has given out on them after 2 gallons or so my jato gave out on me at 1 1/2 gallons then i upgraded to a os 21tm

  • @cbeck611 been running four years strong huh all depends on how you take care of them

  • @cbeck611 U MUST NOT TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF IT AND ABUSE IT. MINE HAS BEEN AWESOME.

  • @cbeck611 Done a few gallons through my Rustler 3.3 too. If anything, after the first it was faster. And even now its still almost as mental as my Savage.

  • @cbeck611 i've had my jato for over a year and i beat the hell out of it still just as fast as the day i bought it btw alot of people don't realize how lean they run their cars and that's where problems come in

  • its best to use 20 % on the 3.3 jato i love mine its fuckin fast keep it stock ecxept for alluminum shock tires and better shocks metal shock towers help it from ? when u flip it and it slides upside down i did it with no body and the plastic shock towers would no longer hold the body on with the codder pins due to grinding them off upside down on his back lol so fun

  • where can i buy it please tell...

  • thats pretty sweet!! looks just like mine. will yours pull wheelies in 2nd gear to mine will! looks good have fun!

  • how do u do wheelies it dsnt seem to be working for me does it have to be only in 2nd gear ?

  • i hate this, i dont know if mine is out of tune, or just nasty but it does wheelies like its nothing, very fun, going to get a wheelie bar tho.

  • dude you have a wheelie bar with this thing you should go ahead and just let go and stay on the throttle even when the front is in the air

  • what nitro % are you using

  • 20 percent

  • how do you do wheelies?

  • Nice video, I own a jato with a TRX 2.5R in it and its still wild and I cant wait to put a 3.3 in it!

  • Ya these cars are nice if you hardly ever run them..... ive broke in my motors properly and drove mine for a few weeks then the starter barring slips then the motors starts to overheat..... endless problems you don't want one trust me

  • kida of funny im going on 3 year with this one and havent had any major prblems other than user error and i run it 4-5 times a week i guess you dont know how to tune them if yours is always overheating

  • @zzzslayerzzz u either suck with nitros or u had horrible luck. the Jato is probably one of the toughest ST's out of the box

  • Anyone selling a jato 3.3 looking at around 280.00s

  • does the jato have 2 speed gear box?

  • it dose

    forwards and reverse

  • jato doesnt go in reverse but it does have a 2 speed trans

  • im gettn a new r/c at the begining of summer and i dont know wether 2 get the jato 3.3 or the revo platinum... any suggestions?

  • My ez start glow light didnt light up so i replaced the glow plug. Now the motor light isnt working and it wont even turn over.Almost seems like the ez start battery pack is broke.Any ideas?

  • Did you check if the engine was flooded?

  • Ive noticed that after you drive it alot, the ignition slips, just take out the bolt in the ignition system and clean it. that is if its slipping, if not then you broke it

  • how do u make it wheelie i just got a jato for christmas

  • did you tune it after you broke it in? that might help but i'm not completely sure. oh and good choice with the jato, I got a revo 3.3 for X-mas and its awesome. TRAXXAS ROCKS.

  • try putting it at ur factory setting

3 full turns on the high speed needle

2 full 1/2 turns on the low speed needle

i dont have a jato but i have a rustler 3.3 and it pop wheelies at this setting

  • same here sd00productions

  • Pull the thottle trigger, it will wheelie with ease! second gear wheelies are the same way.

  • well a jato 3.3 has 2 gears it will switch 2 second gear if u get enough speed then wen in second gear its all a matter of having enough space and enough speed to pop whellies

  • mines was 350 and if you tigten your suspension alot it will always wheelie if you leave it loose it will stay down to about the middle of 2nd gear

  • I want a jato setup where it wont wheelie but will still hit top speed any help on how to set it up

  • if you wwant to hit top speed fastr, adjust shift timer to allow your truck to shift earlier(it tells you how in the owners manual) and if you want a higher tops speed, get a larger clutch bell or smaller spur gear, or both

  • the only time my jato does wheelies is right when it shifts into second gear, its really cool but i want what yours is doin to

  • they need to set up shift timer correctly, it always comes with the second gear almost "locked"

  • mine doesnt wheelie:(

  • is it possible to not wheelie?

  • BTW ...those "mandatory" wheely bars are only putting that much sprung weight over the back making it want to wheely that much more..try removing all that crap off the back and setting the suspension up correctly..theyre pretty tame when set up right..

  • If you get the mid-mount battery pack theyre no where near this bad as far as wheelying over on themselves...it will still happen but not near as much

  • hey how much is this?

  • 399.00

  • right when u got the jato did it do wheelies.

  • man i just got a jato im having trouble with the idle, its moving but not as fast as it should no whellies

  • drop kick it a few times. Should help

  • man there fast ive got like a 60 mph savage

  • just wondering if anybody had any idea for a replacement part for the Differential Output Yokes on the rear of the jato 3.3 # 5528 mine keep twisting out and getting warped????? anything....?

  • Ebay. I got a replacement shock tower and replacement front arm (forget what it's called exactly) for about 20 bucks total. Took around a week. You can always check a local hobby shop as well.

  • danm jatos are quick.....

  • Does a Jato 3.3 have a reverse gear? I am looking to buy one and hoping someone would tell me. Please reply!! Thanks!!

  • no they don't have reverse

  • Thanx!! I bought one a week ago so I know now! :] They rock!!

  • o sorry i ment tun your hsn to 3 /14 from closed

  • to wheelie you should tune your hsn to 4 1/4 from closed. keep your lsn flush. and keep your slipper 1/2 from tight. keep batteries in rear battery box. if your jato isnt new get some new anacondas and clutch shoes.you will wheelie on demand. it may be a good idea to install a wheelie bar if you dont already have one;)

  • wat should i get a jato 3.3 or revo platinum edition

  • jato fore life<3 get jato:D

  • neither get a tmaxx on ebay no motor, then put a .26 picco motor in it. if you dont trust me then just look at some vids of a .26 picco

  • Ya if you want to get it to do wheelies it needs to be tuned. Good way is to bring it to a local hobby store with a professional. If not take some time to tune it yourself. High speed needle will get it to do wheelies.

  • Awsome Jato

  • hey is that jato stock if yea cuz i want 2 get a r/c but im think of getting this one or the revo or the baja hpi 5b

  • hey can someone help me out i got a jato 3.3 and i just got it i did all the break in crap and now it wnt do wheelies any one have any answers so i can be popin wheelies thankss

  • you are lucky my dad says it is stupid to buy one =((

  • As did mine! I don't know about your parents, but I persisted, researched the Jato 3.3, presented a valid argument, and eventually convinced them! After I got it tuned up and was showing it off, the insane speed, acceleration, wheelies, etc. They commented that "...well, thats one of the coolest things I've ever seen." Good luck in your quest to get one.

  • yo i jst got the jato 3.3 it is sick. The only thing i ahve to do is install the wheelie bar on it.

  • damn how hot was this running??

  • about 240

  • Canada Jato

  • its on boulevard Decarie near highway 20 =)

  • if u live in montreal... i know a place there

  • you can try the web

but my advice don't buy top fuel crap

    get Sidewinder

  • Yeah. I was also lookin at a rustler vxl electric rc.. I was going to upgrade the batteries with lipo battery packs. and maybe a mamba max kit also. That should get it goin to about 70 mph. What do you think?

  • I heard the Rustler VXL with a lipo and new pinion can kick some ass

  • im tryin to decide which traxxas to get and which is better. tmaxx revo or jato.?

  • well I have them all and I would say the revo is the best all around, if you want speed go with the jato its cazy fast

  • I have a jato 3.3 but i cant get it to do wheelies any help.

  • tune it right!

  • mostly stand still in teh start then full gas

  • Bandit VXL and Rustler VXL is faster.

  • nobody said they wernt faster but they are not faster stock you have to spend 100 on a good lipo battery

  • how much is the jato???

  • about 400 shipped from towerhobbies

  • make sure you break it in right.... i know its hard not to just hammer it down but trust me.. BREAK IT IN RIGHT>>watch the dvd ya get with it...lol

  • oh yes I break in everything with the traxxas method and in 7 yrs never blew an engine

  • if any1 wants to know if they should get 1.. well the answer is YES. if u put some good off road tires on it. they work real well off road plus the power and speed.. its all about on how good u can run it.. takes pratice lots of it. but once you can these things can do anything ya want.. so yeah.. go buy a jato 3.3

  • I have almost never seen a JATO on anything but butter smooth pavement. Makes no sense to call it a stadium truck.

  • looks boring on the concrete road

  • can you stop the jato bopping wheelies ? im in two minds as to get one, a 4wd version would be mint.

  • might get one any good?

  • nice video bro. too bad all the other fukwits bitching at each other cant appreciate the effort u made to put on here for all of us to enjoy!

  • Absolutly!

  • สุดยอดเลย

  • how do you get it to do that, mine won't ??????

  • my jato3.3 eats tires any advice? what hardcompound tire do they make that lasts long. im spending 2 much money on bullshit plastic/rubber garbage. im gettin beadlocks and some hard rubber

  • You need to align and calibrate them!

  • OK,so the jato pulls wheelies.what else can it do.if it's really so good why isn't it raced -- i'll tell you why,it's no good at going round corners.

  • Hey, I just got my Jato on satuday ( Today being tuesday ) and I broke it in correctly, but yet it fails to wheelie like I see in all of these videos. I figured somthing was wrong, so I took it to my local RC shop to have um tune it. So they did, its goes much faster, probably the max ive seen it, but no wheelies. Whats wrong with this picture?

  • im not sure if you figured it out yet but i had same problem what helped me was i tighted my springs in the back and snugged up the nut on the spur gear you tighten that nut and that will increase your tork more to help do wheelies. but doent tighten to much or it strains the motor. mine is set at 180 to 200 degrees on 20% and ive reached a top speed of 60 mph with that i had anoying wheelies on demand since than ive changed to 33% with a new motor hope that will help you.

  • dude break it in it will yank wheeles adjust your suspension supertight. youll yank up all day. i put 2.5 jato tires and wheels on mine. it doesnt stay down. jato's r wheele kings just break it in and replace ur glow plug after break in. i did :D

  • What do you mean by slipper clutch?

  • slipper clutch maybe

  • yea, I just got the jato 3.3 few weeks ago..Broke it correctly and everything..I have the stock tires on it..It seems like its running really good but Doesnt do wheelies like this Jato does..It will do them if it hits a little bump or something but not on demand like this one..Whys that? Am i running at my full potential? please someone help.

  • i just got a jato 3.3 like 2 weeks ago. it is all stock. it was clocked at 72.6 mph. which was the fastest of about 5 trys the lowest being 69.1. Is this about right for the speed? it's all stock. and should i mod it?

  • just wondering what percent are you running

  • i crashed my jato into a car wheel my tyres were shredded at the time and i had just gone into second gear and suddenly noticed a car i had bout 0.1 of second from the time i saw the car and the crash

i think i twitched luckily and i only hit the wheel other wise it would of got wedge underneath the car and the guy wouldve made me pay a bitch for the damage it would of done to the bottom of his car

    i still ent fixed it

  • hey can sum one help me. im am wonderin if i shud buy a nitro sport or a nitro rustler, but i am new to nitro. if i do get the nitro sport, i am going to ugrade the engine after i get the hang of tuning the engine and cleaning it and stuff.

    PLEASE ANSWAR!!!

  • i would get the rustler. A lot easier to use and keep in good condition

  • make sure u get a car that has alot of ground clearance from the ground i had to repair my first nitro loads because of it was one of the small race car ones and it kept loosing screws. i dunno what a nitro sport is but a nitro rustler seems like a good choice theres a couple of vids on youtube of a guy who got his rustler and did lots of work on it and then clocked its speed at 70mph

  • you should buy a rustler to start with youd end up paying more money upgrading the engine and pipe and stuff cause thats like another 120$ + for the engine and equipment depending on the engine i guess but youd be better off with a rustler

  • a vai tomar no cu

  • o my bad sorry mate it has got 2 speed

  • madness bro u should convert to 2 speed if u can?

  • is this modified??? If its stock its crasy and im buying one for sure

  • Its stock but costs alot ;P

  • why do so many people say there rc is the best when they havnt tried the rest?

  • dude is that how it has to sound

  • cool vid. but next time you might want to turn auto focus off on your camera..

  • i jsut got a jato and its awesome. i havent gotten it to wheelie much and i didnt get it to hit 2nd gear yet, but its still mad fast i love it

  • cool, i want a Jato 3.3 so badly

  • revo3.3 all the way bisnatch :D sereously revos can ride walls and no other car can O.o

  • k thx bro ya me and mi friend always drive em he just bought a jammmin and i drive his revo now so yeah im liken it alot im gunna buy 3 of em

  • who fucking cares JATO 4 life

  • I have the entire 3.3 family so blow it out your ASS

T MaXX JATO REVO 4 TEC

  • torchthatsucka and youngxstunna15 and spitfireguy4680

well this video was a year ago and It is still runnin strong ive been in this hobby for over 10 years and have never blown an engine if there is white smoke its still runnin rich enough to stay cool i was only runnin about 240 in this clip so dont try and talk down on me when you dont have a clue

  • my dad just got a baja 5b and i was wondering which 1 would be better a revo or a jato i wanna jump a lil but i still wanna beat in racen can i buy shocks and bigger tires for the jato ive never owend 1 but my friends hav them and there a blast

  • yeah well i finally learned how to tune them so i wont blow em out :P sorry if i sound dumb or confused u

  • dude ur gonna blow that engine out so fast if u dont make the enigine richer. ive blown out 3 i know what im talking about.

  • wow ur messin it up its too lean

  • seems extremely lean.

  • nah, i saw a traxxas vid on youtube that said you shouldnt see any smoke at idle/ low speeds but a small trail of white smoke at full throttle, i think he has got it right.

  • hehe i loved how you chased that car with your wheelies at 2.15! :D

  • towerhobbies dot com on the internet i ant post link to website but youll find it

  • wheres that?

  • for real they are only 384 at tower hobbies

  • actually they cost around $700

  • i'll sell you mine for 700

  • uncontrolable power?stop speeding and he will be controlable *rolleyes*!

  • they cost like 430 dollers

  • How much was that Jato 3.3? Im lookin' to buy one...

  • i got 1 for 409 bucks thats with everything even 20% traxxas fuel.. batterys and all. rcplanetdotcom look for combo deals

  • Hey man, I see what you're tryin' ta demonstrate & all...all that ready power...I'm way familiar with Jatos,as I have three, but ya really otta concentrate on the power levels between idle & wide open...if ya play in that area,(letoff after 'takeoff' a little then lightly blip again repeatedly) you'll find yerself gettin' 50 & 100 foot wheelies, easily...jusoyano bud, later.

  • nice video, look at mine.

  • what do you guys run your jato 3.3 high jet on? coz i don't have a clue

  • man i gonna get a jato 3.3 and this makes me want one now!

  • hey bluecaka69 you should make a video of yourself going faster, im sure youred more experienced

  • guess im the dumbass then

  • No worries. We all make mistakes. Enjoy the jato dude.

  • Man. I just got a Jato today. I can't get wheelies at all. I'm not even hearing it shift into 2nd gear. This is my first nitro... perhaps I just don't know how to tune it right.

  • MAke sure you follow the break in procedure set out in the manual. You won't be popping wheelies until the engine has run in properly, which is after 5 tanks of fuel. Also, the gear shift is very quick and quiet, so you have to listen carefully to hear it. My best advice is follow the manual's recomendations and you should be fine. Just be patient.

  • I broke it in. It eventually opened up and shifts, just needs a lot of room. No wheelies on the road though, roads here suck. No traction. Or maybe its the humidity combined with the tires. Who knows. This truck rules.

  • Yeah does! Try getting the car going at quater throttle, give it a couple of revs then bury the throttle, should give you the wheelie you want. Might just need a bit more breaking in and leaning out a touch!

  • DONT TUNE UR JATO YET!!!! u still have to break in the engine, if not it could have extreme power loss over time

  • hope u broke it in right

  • i have the jato 3.3. it's fuckin sick for a pre-built kit car. 2wd, but goes 65+. got mine goin 70+. the revo is 4wd, but only goes around 50-55+. revo is also stronger. jato only comes with the bare essentials to get you going. cheap parts, but it goes fast. spend the extra money to get aluminum or titanium parts. but make sure something can break to absorb the impact so your parts don't bend. anyone wanna race in the nor-cal area?

  • i live in nor-cal, capital city rc? i race my rc10gt2 there. its a one speed and it does 48 mph, and its setup to race.

  • nice car!

  • my nitro rustler will do that all day long and run 58 mph

  • yo, wats better Jato3.3 or Revo3.3..some1 Wb plz

  • I tdepends what you are using it for. my suggestion is to get a Losi LST 2 or hpi savage x ss

  • revo is way better for jumping, and if you don't want to worry about throttle control, get the revo, I hear it is way stronger when it crashes

  • haha unlucky bout the gay comments mate. jato looks like a laugh, noisey :D

  • why dont you people go somwhere else and argue i dont give a shit if it has crappy electronics or how long the rusty has been out or if hobby stores all over the us have tem on there wall go please this is for comments go fight somewhere else i have plenty of rc's that i can drive i dont mind having a jato 3.3 as the only thing you can even really do with them is run a straight line the 3.3 is not setup for racing and being 2 wheel drive dont do very good off road

  • yeah looks alright...good for out of the box i guess. ive seen evaders snap wheelies from speeds faster than what the jato tops out at in this vid - and thats running rich too...

  • Next week I may be with mine

Can't wait to put my hands on it
