good luck with that 3.3 i bet after another gallon or so you will notice it getting alot more slower i have read every where that peoples 3.3 has given out on them after 2 gallons or so my jato gave out on me at 1 1/2 gallons then i upgraded to a os 21tm
@cbeck611 Done a few gallons through my Rustler 3.3 too. If anything, after the first it was faster. And even now its still almost as mental as my Savage.
@cbeck611 i've had my jato for over a year and i beat the hell out of it still just as fast as the day i bought it btw alot of people don't realize how lean they run their cars and that's where problems come in
its best to use 20 % on the 3.3 jato i love mine its fuckin fast keep it stock ecxept for alluminum shock tires and better shocks metal shock towers help it from ? when u flip it and it slides upside down i did it with no body and the plastic shock towers would no longer hold the body on with the codder pins due to grinding them off upside down on his back lol so fun
Ya these cars are nice if you hardly ever run them..... ive broke in my motors properly and drove mine for a few weeks then the starter barring slips then the motors starts to overheat..... endless problems you don't want one trust me
kida of funny im going on 3 year with this one and havent had any major prblems other than user error and i run it 4-5 times a week i guess you dont know how to tune them if yours is always overheating
My ez start glow light didnt light up so i replaced the glow plug. Now the motor light isnt working and it wont even turn over.Almost seems like the ez start battery pack is broke.Any ideas?
Ive noticed that after you drive it alot, the ignition slips, just take out the bolt in the ignition system and clean it. that is if its slipping, if not then you broke it
did you tune it after you broke it in? that might help but i'm not completely sure. oh and good choice with the jato, I got a revo 3.3 for X-mas and its awesome. TRAXXAS ROCKS.
well a jato 3.3 has 2 gears it will switch 2 second gear if u get enough speed then wen in second gear its all a matter of having enough space and enough speed to pop whellies
if you wwant to hit top speed fastr, adjust shift timer to allow your truck to shift earlier(it tells you how in the owners manual) and if you want a higher tops speed, get a larger clutch bell or smaller spur gear, or both
BTW ...those "mandatory" wheely bars are only putting that much sprung weight over the back making it want to wheely that much more..try removing all that crap off the back and setting the suspension up correctly..theyre pretty tame when set up right..
If you get the mid-mount battery pack theyre no where near this bad as far as wheelying over on themselves...it will still happen but not near as much
just wondering if anybody had any idea for a replacement part for the Differential Output Yokes on the rear of the jato 3.3 # 5528 mine keep twisting out and getting warped????? anything....?
Ebay. I got a replacement shock tower and replacement front arm (forget what it's called exactly) for about 20 bucks total. Took around a week. You can always check a local hobby shop as well.
to wheelie you should tune your hsn to 4 1/4 from closed. keep your lsn flush. and keep your slipper 1/2 from tight. keep batteries in rear battery box. if your jato isnt new get some new anacondas and clutch shoes.you will wheelie on demand. it may be a good idea to install a wheelie bar if you dont already have one;)
Ya if you want to get it to do wheelies it needs to be tuned. Good way is to bring it to a local hobby store with a professional. If not take some time to tune it yourself. High speed needle will get it to do wheelies.
hey can someone help me out i got a jato 3.3 and i just got it i did all the break in crap and now it wnt do wheelies any one have any answers so i can be popin wheelies thankss
As did mine! I don't know about your parents, but I persisted, researched the Jato 3.3, presented a valid argument, and eventually convinced them! After I got it tuned up and was showing it off, the insane speed, acceleration, wheelies, etc. They commented that "...well, thats one of the coolest things I've ever seen." Good luck in your quest to get one.
Yeah. I was also lookin at a rustler vxl electric rc.. I was going to upgrade the batteries with lipo battery packs. and maybe a mamba max kit also. That should get it goin to about 70 mph. What do you think?
if any1 wants to know if they should get 1.. well the answer is YES. if u put some good off road tires on it. they work real well off road plus the power and speed.. its all about on how good u can run it.. takes pratice lots of it. but once you can these things can do anything ya want.. so yeah.. go buy a jato 3.3
my jato3.3 eats tires any advice? what hardcompound tire do they make that lasts long. im spending 2 much money on bullshit plastic/rubber garbage. im gettin beadlocks and some hard rubber

yea, I just got the jato 3.3 few weeks ago..Broke it correctly and everything..I have the stock tires on it..It seems like its running really good but Doesnt do wheelies like this Jato does..It will do them if it hits a little bump or something but not on demand like this one..Whys that? Am i running at my full potential? please someone help.
i just got a jato 3.3 like 2 weeks ago. it is all stock. it was clocked at 72.6 mph. which was the fastest of about 5 trys the lowest being 69.1. Is this about right for the speed? it's all stock. and should i mod it?
i crashed my jato into a car wheel my tyres were shredded at the time and i had just gone into second gear and suddenly noticed a car i had bout 0.1 of second from the time i saw the car and the crash
i think i twitched luckily and i only hit the wheel other wise it would of got wedge underneath the car and the guy wouldve made me pay a bitch for the damage it would of done to the bottom of his car
hey can sum one help me. im am wonderin if i shud buy a nitro sport or a nitro rustler, but i am new to nitro. if i do get the nitro sport, i am going to ugrade the engine after i get the hang of tuning the engine and cleaning it and stuff.
make sure u get a car that has alot of ground clearance from the ground i had to repair my first nitro loads because of it was one of the small race car ones and it kept loosing screws. i dunno what a nitro sport is but a nitro rustler seems like a good choice theres a couple of vids on youtube of a guy who got his rustler and did lots of work on it and then clocked its speed at 70mph
you should buy a rustler to start with youd end up paying more money upgrading the engine and pipe and stuff cause thats like another 120$ + for the engine and equipment depending on the engine i guess but youd be better off with a rustler
torchthatsucka and youngxstunna15 and spitfireguy4680
well this video was a year ago and It is still runnin strong ive been in this hobby for over 10 years and have never blown an engine if there is white smoke its still runnin rich enough to stay cool i was only runnin about 240 in this clip so dont try and talk down on me when you dont have a clue
my dad just got a baja 5b and i was wondering which 1 would be better a revo or a jato i wanna jump a lil but i still wanna beat in racen can i buy shocks and bigger tires for the jato ive never owend 1 but my friends hav them and there a blast
nah, i saw a traxxas vid on youtube that said you shouldnt see any smoke at idle/ low speeds but a small trail of white smoke at full throttle, i think he has got it right.
Yo People Check Out My Website Its Hot BUYGREATSTUFF dot co dot uk Everything Is Cheap On There You Can Get all cheap Stuff on There Like Mini Mini Dirt Bikes Mini Motos Quad Bikes Plasma TVs Digital Cameras Digital Camcorders and all other types of electricals I Will Start Selling Traxxas Revo 3.3 Soon And Other Nitro Models That Do 60MPH+ !!!!!!!!!
Hey man, I see what you're tryin' ta demonstrate & all...all that ready power...I'm way familiar with Jatos,as I have three, but ya really otta concentrate on the power levels between idle & wide open...if ya play in that area,(letoff after 'takeoff' a little then lightly blip again repeatedly) you'll find yerself gettin' 50 & 100 foot wheelies, easily...jusoyano bud, later.
Man. I just got a Jato today. I can't get wheelies at all. I'm not even hearing it shift into 2nd gear. This is my first nitro... perhaps I just don't know how to tune it right.
MAke sure you follow the break in procedure set out in the manual. You won't be popping wheelies until the engine has run in properly, which is after 5 tanks of fuel. Also, the gear shift is very quick and quiet, so you have to listen carefully to hear it. My best advice is follow the manual's recomendations and you should be fine. Just be patient.
I broke it in. It eventually opened up and shifts, just needs a lot of room. No wheelies on the road though, roads here suck. No traction. Or maybe its the humidity combined with the tires. Who knows. This truck rules.
Yeah does! Try getting the car going at quater throttle, give it a couple of revs then bury the throttle, should give you the wheelie you want. Might just need a bit more breaking in and leaning out a touch!
i have the jato 3.3. it's fuckin sick for a pre-built kit car. 2wd, but goes 65+. got mine goin 70+. the revo is 4wd, but only goes around 50-55+. revo is also stronger. jato only comes with the bare essentials to get you going. cheap parts, but it goes fast. spend the extra money to get aluminum or titanium parts. but make sure something can break to absorb the impact so your parts don't bend. anyone wanna race in the nor-cal area?
why dont you people go somwhere else and argue i dont give a shit if it has crappy electronics or how long the rusty has been out or if hobby stores all over the us have tem on there wall go please this is for comments go fight somewhere else i have plenty of rc's that i can drive i dont mind having a jato 3.3 as the only thing you can even really do with them is run a straight line the 3.3 is not setup for racing and being 2 wheel drive dont do very good off road
yeah looks alright...good for out of the box i guess. ive seen evaders snap wheelies from speeds faster than what the jato tops out at in this vid - and thats running rich too...
thats what happens now that i put a new engine on mine and reasembled it.

nah, i saw a traxxas vid on youtube that said you shouldnt see any smoke at idle/ low speeds but a small trail of white smoke at full throttle, i think he has got it right.

son8god8damn 4 years ago
Hey man, I see what you're tryin' ta demonstrate & all...all that ready power...I'm way familiar with Jatos,as I have three, but ya really otta concentrate on the power levels between idle & wide open...if ya play in that area,(letoff after 'takeoff' a little then lightly blip again repeatedly) you'll find yerself gettin' 50 & 100 foot wheelies, easily...jusoyano bud, later.

Man. I just got a Jato today. I can't get wheelies at all. I'm not even hearing it shift into 2nd gear. This is my first nitro... perhaps I just don't know how to tune it right.
watts300 4 years ago
MAke sure you follow the break in procedure set out in the manual. You won't be popping wheelies until the engine has run in properly, which is after 5 tanks of fuel. Also, the gear shift is very quick and quiet, so you have to listen carefully to hear it. My best advice is follow the manual's recomendations and you should be fine. Just be patient.
Jatoist 4 years ago
I broke it in. It eventually opened up and shifts, just needs a lot of room. No wheelies on the road though, roads here suck. No traction. Or maybe its the humidity combined with the tires. Who knows. This truck rules.
watts300 4 years ago
Yeah does! Try getting the car going at quater throttle, give it a couple of revs then bury the throttle, should give you the wheelie you want. Might just need a bit more breaking in and leaning out a touch!
Jatoist 4 years ago
DONT TUNE UR JATO YET!!!! u still have to break in the engine, if not it could have extreme power loss over time
kevincolvin 4 years ago
hope u broke it in right
son8god8damn 4 years ago
i have the jato 3.3. it's fuckin sick for a pre-built kit car.
ZodiacFalcon 4 years ago
i live in nor-cal, capital city rc? i race my rc10gt2 there. its a one speed and it does 48 mph, and its setup to race.

yo, wats better Jato3.3 or Revo3.3..some1 Wb plz
BlaBlaFuknBla 4 years ago
I tdepends what you are using it for. my suggestion is to get a Losi LST 2 or hpi savage x ss
mist13232 4 years ago
revo is way better for jumping, and if you don't want to worry about throttle control, get the revo, I hear it is way stronger when it crashes
sifagaloa 4 years ago
haha unlucky bout the gay comments mate. jato looks like a laugh, noisey :D
rossrvf 4 years ago
why dont you people go somwhere else and argue i dont give a shit if it has crappy electronics or how long the rusty has been out or if hobby stores all over the us have tem on there wall go please this is for comments go fight somewhere else i have plenty of rc's that i can drive i dont mind having a jato 3.3 as the only thing you can even really do with them is run a straight line the 3.3 is not setup for racing and being 2 wheel drive dont do very good off road
bluecaka69 4 years ago
yeah looks alright...good for out of the box i guess. ive seen evaders snap wheelies from speeds faster than what the jato tops out at in this vid - and thats running rich too...
