Couple of things I loved here:

actualy the whole bottle of water works, i didn't try it but my mom put them at a couple of place where the stray cats would pass or hang around our house and since then didn't spot one cat or even ear one, might be something else but since my aunt did it to and said it worked...but actualy you don't need that many bottles my mom only put a total of like 6-7 bottles at certain places where the cats would pass and it seems to be enough to keep them away.
