I am working on an anime music video for this song mixed with the tv series Welcome to the N.H.K. and I should be done with it and have it uploaded onto youtube tomorrow.
How is it that this song (and video) wasn't one of the biggest hits of 2008? Oh yeah, because Roadrunner Records wouldn't know how to promote a strong female artist if their life depended on it (and on top of that the misogynistic bastards told her her stomach looked fat in the Leeds United video)!

Does this remind anyone else of TREX? She definitely reminds of Julie Burchill's line about Marc Bolan, that she wanted to mother him, shag him and be him.

It always annoyed me that Panic at the Disco became famous and HUGE! But the Dresden Dolls didn't.... Panic always seemed to me to be a corporate styled packaged that was spoon feed to the people who had no idea who and where the style was being ripped off from.
@Brokeninc I don't know who on earth had the 'bright idea' of even daring to suggest that panic at the disco and the dresden dolls would ever make for a good musical match, or that they would benefit each other in anyway by touring together... Probably the dresden dolls should've declined and refused to do it, but a gig is a gig I suppose... I wouldn't exactly consider them to be huge. Marketed towards emo, bottled at reading, drastic image transformation - No one takes them seriously.
Ok now this is nowu 4th favorite Amanda Palmer / Dresden Dolls song. I can't for the life of me understand how she gets sooo much better and more luminously beautiful every single time I see her.
Um, no. Taylor Swift is in the suggestions. NO. Taylor has a decent voice, and her song writing is OK, but she is no where near to the level of Amanda FUCKING Palmer. Amanda will be a legend. Taylor will be a "Why did we like that" conversation in 20-30 years.

Some simple, some with a little flair, and some extremely detailed and artistic (for instance, around the time of "The Dresden Dolls" self-titled release).
i sometimes wonder what her eyebrows looked like if she never drew them on...then again, i'm starting to believe she was just born with these awesome ones.

After listening to 5 of her songs I can safely say that the people who like her will love her and everyone else will just feel...meh.

Her performances are only barely captured on camera...you have to see her live.
