hey i wan to know. will you lose out much if you did not play Yakuza 2? Cos i borrowed a friend's PS2 and only managed to complete Yakuza 1. I got hooked on the game and am thinking if i should buy Yakuza 3. Will i miss out on anything if i jump from 1 to 3?

@JRimRim Sorry if im late. Yeah, you gotta play Yakuza 2 or you will definitely miss some major connections between the characters and references. I got lucky i was able to transition from 2 to 3 so easily but missed alot of things i coulda acquired from a playthrough of the first game such as NPCs, secret bosses and such.

@boogie12100 Try and boot it in 2-3 days while having a portable HD formatted under Fat 32 ready to hold your backups and save. Theres a slight chance you can boot it in a few days to backup all your saves. But its eventually gonna die :S which ps3 model did you have ?

@waj9876 they might have corrected that on the PS3 slim, most PS3 80Gig -60 gig models have came accross that problem but there hasnt been reports of the Slim models having it.
