  • cool i have two green spotted puffer's in full salt in a 30 gallon tank

  • is a 20 gallon big enough for these two creatures?? I heard they grow quite big :S

  • Brackish when young, full marine as adults. Instant Ocean is some of the best and most recommended marine salts out there. Please research the fish you want BEFORE you buy them. There is lots of info out there, dont research on YouTube. :)

  • I put mine in saltwater too straight from freshwater when I got her from walmart and now shes as healthy as a horse and much healthier, so I find that strange. Is the tank fully cycled? What are the ph, nitrite, nitrate, amoonia, and SG levels? Maybe it's just sick or has something to do with the water?

  • freshwater right?

  • wrong, brackerish water

  • they both look very happy and healthy, watch out for ammonia spikes, but with aquaclear you shouldn't have a problem. I only trust aquaclear and tera whisper filters so far.

  • the same. Instant ocean is crap, I no longer use that, still haven't found a substitute salt yet. Any recommonadtions. I would ask the pet store guys at new world aquarium but I don't trust them. I have a green spotted puffer and 3 figure 8 puffers in aquarium salt which are thrioving, hehe. But my green spotted pufer is not as smart as my first puffer though. I miss him so much, R.I.P little guy I will never forget you.<3<3<3

  • with that filter and thhen my puffer died becuase of ammonia poisoning. She was so smart and she was The happyiest puffer I ever had. She was my first puffer though. Also al sea salt is not

  • I had a beautiful awesome puffer for a month and a half. He died suddly of amonia poisoning, I no longer like aquaeon filters, First my betta got fin rot

  • How is it having two puffers in a 20 gallon tank? I want to have two puffer fish in my 20 gallon tank but I'm not sure if I should do it. ( I don't want them to fight or anything like that.)

  • It depends on the puffers. There is NO WAY you should keep a Green Spotted Puffer in a 20gal like the video. They need at least 30gal for 1 puffer. Forget 2. Same for the Figure 8 kind.

However you CAN keep 3-4 DWARF puffers in a 20gal! They are small but live in freshwater and are just as cute. :)

  • nel u should buy some real plants for them, they look healthy, but not happy

  • Agreed.Try Anubias,Hornwort,Java Fern,or Water Sprite.

  • do you have it in brackish or freshwater i have 2 babies in freshwater

  • looks like he has it in saltwater

  • yes, but more on the light saltwater side being eventually as adults they should go full Salt. They live longer and healthier. I have an aquaclear filter and tank size is 20

  • Nice tank. how big is it, and what filter do you use?

  • Thanks.. 20 gallon and I have sea salt. I have the water at 1.012
