  • Even though the subject matter is so offensive, and the ensuing scene so violent, it's impossible for me to dislike this gorgeous music. Maltman sounds terrific, such an honest and fluid vocal production, musically astute and lovely text delivery.

  • This performance seems not to be on DVD for some reason -- anyone know if it was ever released, or just out of print? Is this clip taken from a broadcast?

  • @dbryandolman I am trying to get this released for sale on DVD. It may happen with any luck. This clip must be taken from the one and only BBC showing.

  • There seems to be a clip missing between #11 and #13. Is it possible to post the whole thing? I love love love this opera. This performance is especially well-done. Thanks.
