Why didn't Red Barber get another broadcasting job after he was fired by the Yankees? It is absolutely shameful that Red was limited to doing a weekly radio show with an NPR nonentity like Bob Edwards.

I remember Red from his days with the Yankees.
The Ole Redhead, Red Barber.
A great broadcaster and apparently a very decent person.
