@williambeecher: you're probably a MORmON and wish they still had multiple wives so you could join in. Attack the religion when you know its precepts and can adequately define, with the bible, where the religion deviates from the ancient ways homie. Even not being Mormon some of us have studied the religion know you are misguided.
@TheSatiringSocialist: He was in President Eisenhower's cabinet as Secretary of Agriculture and subsequent cabinets for over a decade. Attack his views and not his person. It's no wonder I've never seen your mug on youtube or in a presidential cabinet speaking intellectually about any subject. You probably couldn't structure an argument free of logical fallacy through addressing the subject matter instead of attacking people.
No one has ever written down the paternal malady properly, where people could understand that it is a common condition which begins at home in the lack and misinterpretations to how affection has two sides, giver and the reciever often in denial or unworthiness of its acceptance, its the physics of knowledge to interpret the real living god within all people, so whats the big deal ? Why do people argue over religions.
Thank you President Benson! I just finished "An Enemy Hath Done This," which is a compilation of talks and speeches by President Benson. Wow, this man got it. I am amazed we have lasted this long. May we all rise up NOW and take action! I am so grateful for living prophets on the earth today.
its sad that we live in a world where people think that a religion that thought having young multiple lives was gods way. even though society has cast the MORmONS out making them hide in a place where no other person would want to live (SLC) so they can still practice their bizarre religion. The MORmONS change the religions laws just so to "fit in" with modern society. are you guys really that stupid to still believe in the MORmON church?
The Old Testament gives reference to "seer stones" but its important to point out as Joseph Smith did, that there proper Hebrew name is "Urim" and "Thummim". Translated it means "Lights' and "Perfection". You will notice these passages make reference to a breast plate and that the stones are placed into the breast plate. Joseph Smith's account is consistent with that description.
... thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shalt not be found among you any one that ... useth divination, or is an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits [demons], or a wizard, or a necromancer [one who communicates with the dead]. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD
Joseph Smith used seer stones to con people from 1820-1826.
Galatians 1:6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; :7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you, and want to distort the gospel of Christ. :8 But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
@solomanspaming old again. The new Jewish converts were trying to practice things that were not needed. This has already been explained away by people smarter than the both of us. I hate to tell you this but the gospel that you practice has probably been changed quite a few times over due to Roman persecution, Roman takeover and adaption into Christianity, and even more so by the protestant movement. None of which claim divine inspiration unless you count Constantines "Cross" vision.
“We are unanimous, all of the Brethren, in feeling and recommending that Indians marry Indians, and Mexicans marry Mexicans; the Chinese marry Chinese and the Japanese marry Japanese; that the Caucasians marry the Caucasians, and the Arabs marry Arabs.” (Spencer W. Kimball, “The Teachings of Spencer W. Kimball,” p. 303 1965)
Mormons have never publicly denounced this racist teaching.
@solomanspaming “In 1843, 1,200 Methodist ministers owned 1,500 slaves, and 25,000 members owned 208,000 slaves…the Methodist Church as a whole remained silent and neutral on the issue of slavery.” (Slavery and Religion in America: A time line 1440 – 1866 - this is well after people of color were ordained priests.I can build a case that will show that the priesthood ban was probably given to protect LDS from persecution from the same white leaders of this government, many who were Christian.
JOSEPH SMITH WILL BE SUCCEEDED BY HIS SON JOSEPH: April 22, 1839 and Aug 27, 1834. Joseph Smith says that he will be succeeded by his oldest son, Joseph Smith III. [Quinn pp 630, 638]
FULFILLMENT: Joseph Smith III left the main body of Mormons when they went to Utah under Brigham Young. Thus, according to the Utah church, he did not become his father's successor in the Utah church. He became president of the Reorganized Church in 1860.
KIRTLAND'S MORMON BANK WILL PROSPER: Jan 1837. LDS Mess & Adv. 3:443 Joseph Smith says it is "wisdom and according to the mind of the Holy Spirit" that the saints should invest in the Kirtland Safety Society. Wilford Woodruff's journal Jan 6, 1837, records that Joseph Smith declared "that he [Smith] had received that morning the word of the Lord upon the subject of the Kirtland Safety Society,"
Nov 2, 1836. It failed to receive a charter, and Smith and Rigdon were convicted for illegal banking.
Feb 14, 1835. HC 2:182. Joseph Smith preached that the coming of the Lord would be in 56 years (i.e., about 1891). This prophecy also occurs in his diary for April 6, 1843 and HC 5:336. See also D&C 130:14-17.
FULFILLMENT: The second coming did not occur about 1891, and the Church does not claim that it did. Nor has it occurred since. Joseph Smith did not live to be 85 years old. Why would God make a revelation conditional upon an event which he knew would never happen?
Aug 16, 1834. HC 2:145. Joseph Smith says that the Spirit of the Lord tells him that the Saints should be ready to move into Jackson County, Missouri, on September 11, 1836, "which is the appointed time for the redemption of Zion."
FULFILLMENT: If Zion was redeemed in 1836, it was unredeemed in 1839, when the Mormons abandoned Missouri.
June 22, 1834. D&C 105:13-15. The Lord says regarding Missouri: "I will fight your battles... the destroyer I have sent forth to destroy and lay waste mine enemies; and not many years hence they shall not be left to pollute mine heritage, and to blaspheme my name upon the lands which I have consecrated for the gathering together of my saints."
FULFILLMENT: The Missouri opponents of the Mormons were not destroyed, but have remained in Missouri The Mormons were driven out of MO within 5 yrs.
JOSEPH SMITH WILL TRIUMPH: September 1, 1842. D&C 127:2. Joseph Smith prophesies that he "shall triumph over all my enemies."
FULFILLMENT: His enemies murdered him less than two years after this prophecy.
JOSEPH SMITH IN PALESTINE: January 20, 1843. Joseph Smith prophesies to Orson Hyde that the two of them will drink wine together in Palestine. (JS MS Diary)
FULFILLMENT: Joseph Smith never was in Palestine. (His drinking wine would have been a violation of the Word of Wisdom)
SALEM, MASS., WILL BELONG TO MORMONS: Aug 6, 1836. D&C 111. Joseph Smith received a revelation telling him to go to Salem, Massachusetts. This section is the revelation given to him when he and his companions had arrived there. It promises that they would receive the city and "have power over it" and "its wealth pertaining to gold and silver" should be theirs.
FULFILLMENT: Joseph Smith returned in September to Kirtland. Neither he nor the Mormons ever had power over the city
MORMON DEBTS WILL BE PAID: April 23, 1834. D&C 104: 78-83. God's promise to deliver the Saints from their debts. "It is my will that you shall pay all your debts." The Lord will soften the hearts of their creditors.
FULFILLMENT: Joseph Smith and other prominent Mormons had to flee Kirtland to avoid their creditors, leaving debts of thousands of dollars unpaid. Smith ultimately filed bankruptcy.
@solomanspaming Hold on their bud. This is a famous one and I'm going to show that when read out of context it looks bad but you're actually proving the prophesy to be true. 1) This revelation was given in April 1834, nearly four years before the Saints were forced out of Kirtland. Two years earlier, in April 1832, the united order (Firm) gave a 5 yr loan for $15,000. The saints were kicked out of Jackson County in November 1833, they lost the collateral. No more revenue to repay it.......
@solomanspaming There were other debts as well, and the need to provision Zion's Camp, and a looming lawsuit from apostate Philastus Hurlburt. In order to protect the assets in the united order — not to escape paying debts, but to give the Church time to reorganize and meet its obligations — on 10 April 1834 the members of UNITED ORDER agreed that the order should be DISSOLVED and the assets allotted to individual Church members as stewardships.
@solomanspaming The verses in question instructed the Saints to pay their debts and to be humble . If done, the Lord promised to soften the hearts of their creditors (104:80--83). They were instructed to write the New York banks to which they owed the money (104:81). Joseph was told that a door would be opened to him to "loan" (i.e. borrow) additional money to deal with their current obligations (104:84). THIS CAME TO PASS as Temple was built. Money problems came a few years later in 1837.
yes I'm sure there is a'mormon explination' for all 60 of joseph smiths false prophecies.
Winter l829-1830. David Whitmer, pages 30-33 Smith sent Hiram Page and Oliver Cowdery to Toronto, to sell the copyright of the B of M in response to god's revelation. David Whitmer records that Joseph Smith “ ... inquired of the Lord about it, and behold the following revelation came through the stone: ‘Some Revelations are of God: some revelations are of man: and some revelations are of the devil’.”
@solomanspaming Is the last statement false? God reveals things through his spirit, men can be influenced by our own ideas (We have free will) and most Christians will agree that the enemy himself can disguise himself as a angel of light so thanks for the confirmation - it's appreciated!
Yes the last statement you made is false. AGAIN, type in failed prophecies of joseph smith into any search engine 60 of 65 of his prophecies failed. Are you telling me Jesus Christ returned in 1891 as smith prophecied? Are you saying that his prediction of the civil war bringing 'an end to all nations' is true? look up joseph smith glass looker, from 1820-1826 he was a member a group of con artists that pretended they could seek out treasure by looking at seer stones in his hat.
@Dalessiokiller said ' The verses in question instructed the Saints to pay their debts and to be humble . If done, the Lord promised to soften the hearts of their creditors' THAT IS A LIE. They didn't pay their debts
so God's will for mormons to PAY ALL THEIR DEBTS didn't include the debt that forced them to flee kirkland ?
Mormons will cover lies with more lies every time. You are a liar and will burn in hell for spreading the blasphemy of mormonism, so enjoy hell, and have a nice day!
@solomanspaming and the instruction of paying and being humble etc etc worked until the crash of 1837 a few years after the fact. I gave you step by step events of what happened. what happened in 1837 had nothing to do with the fulfilled prophecy. a few years earlier. So who's lying? Also do not condemn me or anyone to hell. You're not a judge of angels. That hell nonsense is what people like you spew when they realize that they were wrong and have nothing left. My days going great - thanks!
@Dalessiokiller Everything joseph smith said was BLASPHEMY and an unforgivable sin according to Jesus of the bible. Those who continue to spread smiths blasphemy will suffer the same fate, an eternity in hell.
Please explain how an 'angel of light' does not include the angel of light(moroni) that smith claimed visited him, and also the one that told him to practice polygamy(which eventually got him killed) was an angel of light. I guess I'm going to have to list all smiths failed prophecies.
Aug 2, 1833. D&C 97:18-20. Promise that if the saints are obedient the City of Zion (in Missouri) will prosper and become glorious, great and terrible, honored by the nations of the earth. Zion cannot fall or be moved out of its place.
FULFILLMENT: Mormons were driven out of Independence and from all of their settlements in Missouri in 1839. The temple lot is not owned by the Mormon church.
@Dalessiokiller Spring 1834. Joseph Smith prophesies to the members of Zion's Camp that "within three years they should march to Jackson County and there should not be a dog to open his mouth against them." Reed Peck Manuscript p. 3 [cited in Tanner, The Mormon Kingdom 1:4]
FULFILLMENT: Zion's Camp was organized but utterly failed and it disbanded in July. Cholera decimated them and the campaign did not restore the saints to their homes. They did not return as Zion's Camp
@Dalessiokiller so the LORD PROMISED to soften the hearts of their creditors, BUT CHANGED HIS MIND A FEW YEARS LATER?
And what's with the whole'Blacks are cursed' and according to Breedum Young,'this shall always be so', yet in 1978 when religious institutions like the mormon church, and bob jones university were threatened by the government to lose their tax exempt status, INCOMING MESSAGE FROM THE BIG GIANT HEAD! We better let the blacks in now.
@solomanspaming The blacks were always in. I guess there were no baptist, Protestant, slave owners? Those so called pastors were having people scalped! Dont take ,y word for it research something besides a site from the Tanners. How many color people did j smith help? Can you even answer that? He did a lot of things that were not popular including being with colored people. Don't you have a bridge to guard troll?
How many 'COLOR' people did j smith help? Damn you are a racist, here is your answer, he helped 3.
WIKIPEDIA:Under the leadership of Joseph Smith, several African-Americans, including Elijah Abel were admitted to the priesthood. But that policy changed sometime before 1852, because in that year, church president Brigham Young made a pronouncement to the Utah Territorial Legislature stating that African-Americans "cannot hold the Priesthood
@solomanspaming I'm a racist? One of my best friends is named Tyron Davis. and you can't count. You're so worried about the priesthood. Remember the 1833: Free People of Color Editorial Published? How about the letter that followed from Missouri? How about ACS? Formed for people of color but the whites were openly racist. A.M.E. Church was formed because whites Methodists would allow color people to pray on their Knees. The LDS withheld priesthood, everyone else wouldn't even let them worship.
@Dalessiokiller said One of my best friends is named Tyron Davis
What does that mean? You know someone named Tyron Davis? Is that a stereotypical black name?
Did you Mis-spell TYRONE? Are white people not able to have the name Tyrone?
Lets recap. Joseph smith 'translated' the book o'moron by looking at seer stones in his hat. He was pretending he could seek hidden treasure doing this same thing for many years before that. He married 11 other mens wives, then preached that men become gods
@solomanspaming Why yes oh wise one that is a stereo typical African American name. That was my point. I have and always will associate with people of all genders, race, creeds, and colors. No I misspelled nothing - You're the one stereotyping now aren't you? - So you jumped from one topic to another with the vaguest of info and a complete lack of details as what the early Jews and Christians believed. This is getting boring.
And whats with the INVERTED PENTAGRAMS on the mormon temples? The most recent ones were put on the SLC temple in 1893, and the Nauvoo temple in 2002.
Gordumb Hinkley said in 1998 that mormons believe in 'ANOTHER JESUS' not the one of christianity. Funny considering that they now claim they believe in the bible that states that if any man should preach 'another jesus', let him be accursed.
White racist god that likes a different jesus & inverted pentagrams, YOUR GOD IS SATAN.
@solomanspaming Were you writing this to anyone in particular? Do u just like trolling? That silly pentagram was used by the Sumerians, the Jews, and yes, some early Christians! It was a catholic who made it evil. Of course the cross which looks a lot like the symbol for a pagan Egyptian god is never questioned. A different Jesus? That's true, we do not believe in Plato's Egyptian influenced Nicene creed gas cloud Jesus, that's the other Jesus!
The LDS Church News reported: "In bearing testimony of Jesus Christ, President Hinckley spoke of those outside the Church who say Latter-day Saints 'do not believe in the traditional Christ. No, I don't. The traditional Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak. For the Christ of whom I speak has been revealed in this the Dispensation of the Fulness [sic] of Times'" (June 20, 1998,
@solomanspaming yes yes we heard this, do you feel the need to regurgitate? We do not believe in the Trinity. It's not real. The are separate beings that make up one God. Kind of like 5 players make up 1 basketball team. It's simple. People like you make it difficult. Utahrd just shows your intelligence. Exodus 24:10-11 - They saw the God of Israel and then they saw God. make sense yet?
@Dalessiokiller In reference to what you said 'That's true, we do not believe in Plato's Egyptian influenced Nicene creed gas cloud Jesus, that's the other Jesus!
Nice of you to say that about the Jesus of christianity, is that what they tell you in mormon church? You people are insane, and for everything you say you believe, there is or was a mormon prophet that preached the opposite.
Once again, enjoy hell for spreading your blasphemy, you racist cult member, and have a nice day:)
Church leader Bruce R. McConkie, on the denial of equality for Africans:
“NEGROES IN THIS LIFE ARE DENIED THE PRIESTHOOD; under NO circumstances can they hold this delegation of authority from the Almighty. The gospel message of salvation IS NOT CARRIED AFFIRMATIVELY TO THEM... “NEGROES ARE NOT EQUAL WITH OTHER RACES WHERE THE RECEIPT OF CERTAIN SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS ARE CONCERNED...” (Mormon Doctrine, 1958, p. 477)
@solomanspaming I guess this doesn't get old either. Let's see, how did it take for the "dogs" to be allowed to have any position with Gods chosen people? Lot more than 20 years.
@Dalessiokiller So does that mean you had your dog sealed to you for all eternity in your moron temple? Your not God's chosen people, Joseph smith was quoted saying that all Christian churches are an abomination, and When asked, "Will all be damned but Mormon?" he replied, "Yes, and a great portion of them unless they repent and work righteousness" (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pg. 119).
You have inverted pentagrams but mormons say that crosses that represent jesus sacrifice are bad.
@solomanspaming Job was doubled everything he had lost for enduring his trials EXCEPT for his kids...why do you think that was? Did God forget how to count? Or MAYBE they were sealed! Wow, binding sealing power of Gods priesthood, what a concept.
@solomanspaming I already explained the pentogram/ cross with history of the people who used it. You just repeated the same argument. wow, quite a comeback.. Running out of stuff from Tanners site I see.
@Dalessiokiller Could you please give me the name of this 'tanner' site, I don't know anything about it, but I'm sure it has lots of official mormon church history records that show how these white and delightsome SAINTS are a bunch of racist and braindead sheep.
@Dalessiokiller "Negroes IN THIS LIFE are denied the priesthood; UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES can they hold this delegation of authority from the Almighty." LDS "Apostle" Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, p. 527, 1966 edition, emphasis added. (See also LDS Pearl of Great Price, Abraham 1:20-27) ...If the WHITE MAN who belongs to the CHOSEN SEED mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is DEATH ON THE SPOT. This will ALWAYS be so." LDS "Prophet" Brigham Young,
@solomanspaming yes yes disturbing words - we get it. I already showed who the lesser of the 2 evils were though. You have failed to talk about it. You just know one side of the story.
Joseph smith was a conman from 1820-1826, he looked at seer stones in his hat(witchcraft) to pretend that he could find hidden treasure. He 'translated' golden plates by looking at a stone in his hat.
Martin Harris took 116 pages of these 'translations' and hid them to prove that smith was really 'translating'. Smith could not prove he was translating by redoing the writings.
Smith plagiarized a book called View of the Hebrews(1823) by ethan smith. The book is about jews sailing to america.
@solomanspaming I guess this doesn't get old either. Let's see, how did it take for the "dogs" to be allowed to have any position with Gods chosen people? Lot more than 20 years.
Anyone reading my comments please know that I'm not anti anything. I'm just sick of double standards of those who only question LDS history and origins without looking into their own. There is good and bad in all things. Look for the good and I'll guarantee it outweighs the bad. God bless.
NEW YORK WILL BE DESTROYED: Sept 22-23, 1832. D&C 84:114-115. New York, Albany and Boston will be destroyed if they reject the gospel. The "hour of their judgment is nigh..."
FULFILLMENT: Newell K. Whitney and Joseph Smith went to New York, Albany, and Boston and preached there. These cities did not accept the gospel. They have not been destroyed.
a social system is not the issue ... rather give people work than feed them for doing nothing, fair jobs fair pay , show them how to fish how to make make their own food how to grow their own food ,,, charity and donations don t help ... help on another to help each other ... give an alcoholic money he ll buy liquor ... help him to get sober and give him a job he ll get back 2 life ...
fritz springmeier is in prison now ... poor soul ... he was trying to open eyes of the people ... still I don t believe that the mormons are bad, maybe they have been infiltrated like every other organization in the us ... like the government and the media ... listen 2 this man he is giving a fair warning ... while we still look for the terrorist in caves the terrorist are invading our homes over the TV and the Radio ...
There is one way to the father, Jesus Christ. All other ways are false. Jesus himself said this. How can a religion that says it follows Jesus speak words contrary to what he taught? Please see Fritz Springmeier and John Todd.
Notice the man warning the nation is one who sat in the highest councils of our nation for eight years as secretary of agriculture under Dwight Eisenhower. Is it just possible that he came face to face with the bloody secret combinations and "conspiracy fact" that seek to overthrow the freedoms of "all nations"? He warned that the Civil Rights movement was being infiltrated by communists. Look at the current President of the USA; he isn't a capitalist or abiding by the US Constitution.
You've found no truth in the BOM, but the Bible is true?
So when Jesus teaches such and such, if its in the BOM, it's false, but if he says the exact same thing in the Bible, it's true... ok, that makes sense. I forgot how rational mainstream Christianity is.
I have studied and followed many religions in my life. I have found the truth through the Book of Mormon. I challenge you to read the book, pray about it SINCERELY, and follow the truths found therein. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ and His gospel. The doctrines found in the Book of Mormon completely compliment those in the Bible: Follow Jesus Christ, obey His commandments, be kind to your neighbors, be honest, etc., etc.
You ask the right question but arrive at the wrong conclusion. You must understand there are eternal truths and consequences. Would a loving God send his Only Begotten to suffer and die if it weren't necessary? You should also note our doctrine of temple work on behalf of the dead. The work is for our kindred dead.To answer the second point, I think you'll find Mormonism to be one of the few christian churches that accept the true meaning of eternity including a life before and after this one.
@LiteWaiterYou ask the right question but arrive at the wrong conclusion. You must understand there are eternal truths and consequences. Would a loving God send his Only Begotten to suffer and die if it weren't necessary? You should also note our doctrine of temple work on behalf of the dead. The work is for our kindred dead. To answer the second point, I think you'll find Mormonism to be one of the few christian churches that accept the true meaning of eternity including a life before this one.
How can you state I arrive at the wrong conclusion? There is no other logic in the Bible than to control people with cleverly mixing truths and manipulative lies. There is no need for a loving God to make ANYONE suffer. Wouldn't it be easier to MAKE PEOPLE IN HIS IMAGE as good humans? This whole complex story with manipulative excuses has no logic at all. LOVE IS BIGGER THAN THE BIBLE explains. That's why Christians can be so CRUEL, because they don't understand LOVE.
@LiteWaiter ah, it probably would be easier but that's the whole beauty of it. God will not MAKE anybody good. It would be forceful and contrary to His plan. Jesus Himself rebuked the Pharisees often for observing the law but rejecting the higher law of Love thy neighbor. Are we perfect? no, but if we understand the higher law we are commanded to love unconditionally. Religious history is full of ignorant war and hate. What is needed is proper scriptural understanding and unconditional love.
@iceman0276 im trying to read the book of mormon its such hard work .. alot of gibberish and endless repetition its obviously been written by a delusional person ...i truly cant see
Mitt Romney is running for President again. Mormons swear oaths of violence to "Avenge the Blood of the Prophets" It is occult and full of Kaballah and Freemasonry. Vote for a Mormon and you'll receive the fruit of its violence will visit us as sure as the Mountain Meadows Massacre
@IExposeMormonism You are a certified nut-case. Please show the world ANYTHING in our worship or doctrine that teaches us to "Avenge the Blood of the Prophets". You shall soon see the truth revealed as it is revealed across the world that the Restored Gospel *is* the TRUE Gospel, restored to the Earth by God The Father and his Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, The Redeemer of The World through Joseph Smith - and your words shall be held before you as judgement against you in the Last Days.
@ScottKin You are a certified Milk Mormon. Until recently Your Temple Endowment Oaths swore oaths even more violent. The oath is quoted often in connection to the Mountain Meadows Massacre. That was the purpose, to Avenge the Blood. I posted "Blood atonement and The Origin of Polygamy" 1905, Joseph F Smith., He says Joe was Killed at Carthage BECAUSE of Polygamy. Blood A' is in the Polygamy Revelation, There are no shortage of Mormon sources so just research Mormon sources. No Nuts, only truth
@ScottKin Feb 14, 1835. HC 2:182. Smith preached that the coming of the Lord would be in 56 years (i.e., about 1891). This prophecy also occurs in his diary for April 6, 1843 and HC 5:336. See also D&C 130:14-17. Joseph Smith prophesies that "there of those of the rising generation who shall not taste death till Christ comes." He prophesies "in the name of the Lord God - let it be written: that the Son of Man will not come in the heavens till I am 85 years old, 48 years hence or about 1890."
@ScottKin Did you know that horny joseph smith married 11 other mens wives, two 14 year olds, and at least 33 women in secret? Go to the LDS website familysearch, org to see the official LDS record of his marriages. When the husbands of these women found out, they killed him for being an adulterer, and go to wivesofjosephsmith, org to see the dates for the weddings, Helen Mar Kimball and Nancy winchester were only 14 when smith married them, making him a pedophile like Warren Jeffs.LOL!
Mormons do no such thing. "Swear oaths of violence", "occult", "recieve the fruits of it's violence" thats the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Mormons dont teach or believe in anything of the sort...if ANYTHING they're too much into "turning the other cheek" when it comes right down to it.
If you're giong to critize the mormon church at least have the deceny to critize it for what it is, instead of with your crack pot consipiracy theory b.s. Where do you people get this kind of b.s?
@bigferg1975 Thanks for asking "Where do I get this BS". Mormon books. And those fleeing Mormonism. I use original publications. D&C, BofC, BofM, JofD. The Polygamy Revelation. The threats of violence in oaths is well attested in the Endowment ceremony. In c1990 some Mormons (milk type) whined so the Hierarchy removed oaths from at least the more common Endowment Ceremony. Endowments led Directly to the Mountain Meadows Massacre. I Posted "Blood Atonement and The Origin of Polygamy" by JF Smith
Free energy has been here all along ,But Millions are spend in supressing that information,Get the blueprints for a free energy motor at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,take part in the revolution!
I guess the LDS church is screwed then, because they hold all kinds of secret combination's, or so they think. Thank God for the Truth of Jesus Christ and the internet to expose their false ways and teachings.
Sadly, its unfortunate that Mormons have been taught false beliefs, such as Jesus was a brother of Satan, that you have the opportunity to become a god, therefore there are other gods, etc.... Mormonism is not Christianity though it has similarities, however it is fundamentally unlike Christianity with its core beliefs, which are anything but Christian.
There's heaven and hell, and only one God Jesus, revealed by the bible only!
@sandwichappy Brigham Young was a slave owner, and accepted slaves as tithing and I don't think you wan't to go down that "they never called them niggers" road. You will lose. Learn our real history. It's much more interesting than the Sunday School and Institute manuals that are more white washed than Michael Jackson's face.
@sandwichappy Not at all. Read Quinn's Origin's of Power and know yourself out. If you really quote want some "nigger" quotes, I'll hook you up. But I'll have to hit you up this weekend. A little busy right now.
i would appreciate that. im here waiting. i started reading quinn's origin's of power as you suggested and noticed that his referrences are scarce and assumptive at best. in fact, most of the claims he makes are referred to as "According to Quinn" by any other source and are easily arguable based on the lack of evidence he provides when postulating his conclusions. he lumps theories and non-doctrinal elements together with facts like a cosmic fluffball and hurls it toward the sun without effect.
@sandwichappy Sweet! Everything is happy and fun. Adam and Eve were real people. Humanity is 6000 years old. And Jesus was miraculously born of a virgin cuz sex is icky and he was resurrected. Everything Joseph Smith said was true. Everything happened the way he said it did. God is in his heaven. And fun, fun, fun, there are three neato Heavens. Why bother even talking to me dude.
@GohModley why bother talking to you? i could pose the same question to u. idk, could be because you send me messages.
the funny thing is i dont believe the majority of what you just said. no wonder you dont believe the gospel, you have it all wrong. "humanity is 6000 years old"?
God is real and so is His Holy Ghost which testifies of the truth of all things. No one can deny when the Holy Ghost testifies to their soul that God lives and that a principle is true without having the spirit of a liar. If someone does not sincerely know, that is one thing; but so-called open-minded intellectuals who close off this process only hurt themselves. Book of Mormon teaches that we will experience opposites, including bitter, pain, bad. Life is not all sweet.
" If you really quote want some "nigger" quotes"... who said they want "nigger" quotes? and why do you keep putting it in quotations? i never once used that word. our discussion has lasted no more than 3 or 4 paragraphs and you are already fabricating quotes and making shit up. good luck in life, and after.
Money is probably the greatest conspiracy of our time, and we all seems like a slave to it. When all business and trading is done through money, money means real power. Then you just have to follow the money to find the conspiracy :)
Get behind you. Hell no. Im not like that orlovna2. If you want a male to get behind you you're looking on the wrong website. You naughty closet boy you.
THAT IS ALL I AM GOING TO SAY TO any and all who idolize old, Mormon henchmen--with the same namesakes, as theirs--from the Nauvoo Period and the Brigham Young Period.
I have nothing to gain--(after delivering my message)-- from staying among you, here. I have WARNED ABOUT that faulty product. Some of you think that you, yourselves, ARE that product: in a weird dysfunctional way. That is not for me to sort out: it is your problem, not mine.
did you just make that up on the spot? he never prophecied? the bible defines "the spirit of prophecy" as the "testimony of Jesus" (rev. 19: 10).
etb is a prophet. i expect you would claim to have not denied abraham and moses, peter, james, john, or paul, but you have done nothing less with ezra taft benson. he testifies that Christ is the Lord. your alter is to an unknown god. whom therefor ye ignorantly worship, him declared i unto you.
@orlovna2 His prophecy concerns secret societies in these latter days. That they are driven by left-wing ideology. That we must awaken to their presence. Consider Helen Clark, a member of Socialist International since 1976. She has been appointed to reform the UN. Her work is critical to the universal aim of left and right wing political organisations; a NWO. Gordon Brown spoke about a Global New Deal. Clark's legacy incl. failure to screen for Hep.C and perfecting CYF to destroy children'slives
Mormons would have been good LOYALISTS, under King George, of England: because the Article of Faith #12 tells you to!
"We believe in being subject to KINGS.. (how so?)....in obeying, honoring, and "sustaining" the KING in his--the king's--LAW. (whose law? Why, the KING's law!)
Are you SURE that the king doesn't have to subject himself to his own law?
ANSWER: Does a 5-pound bag of corn meal make a really big tortilla?
@orlovna2 Yes, we think it is important to maintain peace, but if you read the whole article by Elder Benson, you will get a clearer picture of what the LDS church really think on the subject.
orlovna2, you sound like someone who believes the bible but has never read it.
read 1 peter 2: 13-19, or 1 timothy 2: 1-2, or the admonition of paul to endure all things etc. "mormons would have been loyalists, under king george". thats not true. the article says (as you properly quoted, but failed to understand) "being SUBJECT to kings" there is a big difference (obviously not sufficient that you noticed it) between submission and loyalty (a word you introduced out of context, and in caps).
So, you see: unlike that armed and dangerous (and dead) Orrin Porter Rockwell, I am against faulty products: not people.
(But, if you should think that "you ARE the product", then that is YOUR problem, not mine! You should see a Ford representative, who might (or might not) convince you that they "had no hand in your own manufacture".)
CAVEAT: As a "former owner" of that faulty and unsafe Ford Pinto (product), I exert efforts to inform those who might buy into it! (Or, to inform current owners of the dismal safety record of said Pinto).
I do this, having a complete first-hand knowledge about how that Pinto handles, on the road (as well as about the infra-structural flaws that make it so unsafe, for its owners). I also do this because there are yet 50,000 "salesmen" happily and eagerly promoting that product, to the public.
The "Pinto" was brand new, when I bought it. I know of all the inherent safety problems of that car: through experience, driving it. I KNOW of its dismal safety record, from having been an owner of one.
50,000 "salesmen" are still promoting this product, eagerly, to the public.
I am reminded of what Ralph Nader did (long before you were born), in warning about the death-trap that was the GM Corvair. People didn't want to hear him
@DrPorterRockwell, i would never have thought to! who buys a pinto? furthermore, when it breaks down who compares it to a church that's been around for nearly 200 years and still gaining speed?
well said. i just got here and reviewed the discussion and your comments. i find your position based on facts and uphold what you have said. i noticed its been a while since you posted on this video. i'll take it from here.
Ezra, you old dead dog! Overthrow the "freedom of the people"? What kind of nonsense are you talking about, there??
You were so engrained in your "Mormonite Thinking" (Mr. Benson)(who is now dead), that you (Mr. Benson) just cannot HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT, TOO!
Talk about freedom? Start with your Article of Faith #12 and subjecting yourself (ie., being loyal to) kings....rulers....mormon-church presidents...and magistrates of kings, rulers, and mormon-church presidents...
An anti-Mormon preaching about "nonsense", typical. Why beat around the bush, why don't you just tell us you hate everything about the LDS Church including the members? Why be so elusive about it?
What I wrote to you, had to do with Orrin Porter Rockwell (your namesake): he was the little murderous henchman of the 1830s and 1840s.
If you continue to state things that are LIBELOUS, you will build your own case, against yourself! (I will record EVERYTHING you say that is libelous, and it WILL be used against you, in a court of law!)
Keep talking, there, Rockwell: you will not only have shot Lilburn W. Boggs, in the 1840s, but you will soon shoot yourself, too!
We know who you really are so no need to lie about Orrin Porter Rockwell and give a threat to "shoot" myself.
Even in an anti-Mormon state of Missouri, Porter was found innocent in a court of law over Boggs, but continue to rely on anti-Mormon mills, not a surprise since you are only a simpleton.
I would take your own advice you hypocrite, your own words that you flippantly spew on LDS videos while mocking the Lord's anointed will be recorded in heaven for your own judgment.
Rockwell was not tried, in MO, you simpleton! (It was illegal of him to even ride to his father-in-law's place, in Missouri, to visit the family of his wife: who were non-Mormons!) He would not have gone there, to stand trial!
Rockwell--whom you idolize--was a murderous henchman of Brigham Young, as well. (Much is recorded about both him & Bill Hickman, together)
If you die, Rockwell, it will be by your own hand, you weird one.
Yes, of course an apostate's view on LDS history, forgot.
Porter was found not guilty in a court of law no matter how much you make up our own history. As he even stated, he doesn't miss when trying to kill a man.
A Prophet spoke at his funeral and only said good things about your so called "henchmen". An apostate's judgement doesn't trump a Prophet, but in your self delusion, it does.
@orlovna2 That Article of Faith merely means that we believe in working within the law to change it when it is not something that secures the God-given rights of man. So far, to my mind at least, there has been but one modern-day exception to that interpretation, which is America's Revolution.
WHOA, there! You are "re-writing" that Article of Faith! I am happy to hear that your ideas are not "perfectly in sync with" those of The Brethren! You mistakenly think that "sustaining the law" (IN CONTEXT) refers directly to "the rule of law". It does not have that meaning.
"We believe in being [loyal] subject(s) to kings....in [and through] sustaining [the king], in [his, the king's] law."
(When you substitute "ruler", for "king", you get Adolf Hitler, as an example...)
@orlovna2 You were right @ Nazism only so far as the local level. Helmuth Huebner was excommunicated for distributing anti-Nazi literature but reinstated by Salt Lake posthumously. The phrase "the law" appears at the end of the sentence and is very singular, thus referring to one law, which kings must uphold also. Insofar as they uphold that law, we support them. If they don't, we work within the law to change it, with the final step being revolution.
You still don't "get it", because you don't want to get it! Huebner was being "insubordinate", as I had said: his activities were the basis for being "excommunicated for conduct unbecoming a member of The Church..."
He was EXECUTED for distributing anti-Hitler leaflets and flyers.
How can you put such a "spin" on your own damnable Article of Faith? Kings don't "uphold the law, young man! They "create" it! (And, they have the power to change it, on a whim, if it suits them!)
Mormns are "so" out of touch with American History: I mean "really" out of touch! You think that even kings must somehow have subjected themselves to some sort of "rule of law". If that were the case, George Washington (who LIVED under the tyranny of a king) would not have thought about revolting AGAINST the king.
I know that all young mormons are afraid that the Bible is somehow not "translated correctly". JosSmith did his own translation of it: just read THAT one, then!
By the way, I feel that you are not too young to learn a history lesson, here:
Early in the 1940s, LDS President Heber J. Grant told "District Leaders" (no, not missionary Elders), in Europe to tell their local (stake, ward, & branch) leaders to remind the German/Austrian "Saints" to follow the Twelfth Article of Faith: to subject themselves to (that monster) Hitler and to sustain Hitler, in his--Hitler's--law:
As a result of that, an Austrian branch prez. joined the Nazi Party.
@orlovna2 You are right. I am not too young to learn history...I'm in my 30's and have hundreds of books which chronicle it, but when I refer to something I am specific enough that anyone can find what I am referring to, even with only 500 characters. If I were to Google this, there would be no such specificity. Even if you had something, there is a huge difference between being in the armed forces, for example, and the SS.
Oh, YES YOU ARE TOO YOUNG, to know! You are like that other young dufus, young enough to be my son, who said, "I watch the History Channel, too, you know"
And, I told him I do not watch TV, to learn that: I LIVED THROUGH IT, you young pup!
BUT, don't worry! Your "interpretation" of Article of Faith #12 makes you "out of sync with" The Brethren!
Remember: Heber Grant told the German and Austrian Mormons to "follow Hitler and to "obey Hitler's law": absolutely UN-AMERICAN!
Actually, from an LDS standpoint, there is little difference, between serving in the Allied Armies (if they lived in an Allied country) or, in the German Wehrmacht, under Hitler: because Mormons were encouraged to "subject themselves to their leaders" (which, oddly, is an oxymoron, as far as the U.S. is concerned), in whatever country they lived.
So that, strangely, you had "Mormons fighting Mormons" (through that self-same obedience and allegiance, to Leaders).
Joining the Nazi Party (for that Austrian LDS local leader) was "the ultimate expression of loyalty to Hitler and the Nazi Machine".
Those who so-expressed their loyalty--and to be "subject to Hitler, and to obey, honor, and sustain [him and his law]" was such an expression--would never, in a million years, make any efforts to try to have that law changed! To try to do so, in a dictatorship, meant death, for that individual.
I would clarify the hypocrisy of Ezra Taft Benson, if I could: but Mormons are so into "wanting it both ways" that they just do not realize that "to have it both ways" is to have a double standard. (And, to have a double standard is the very definition of hypocrisy.)
Benson "preached up freedom" (on the one hand) while advocating the "non-freedom-loving LOYALIST mentality" that is typical of those who would follow a king (Article of Faith #12).
1st. read the book before you digress to slandering someone who is simply recommending you read it. you may not know this, but your attitude and approach to conversation is exposed and outlined in the very first chapter.
2nd. when posting comments try to make them somewhat coherant.
There is so much evidence that conspiracies dominate globally. The New World Order is blinding men and women. People are beginning to wake up and study the conspiracies only to find that what was feared, laughed at, or mocked is true. "Wherefore, The Lord commandeth you when ye shall see these things come among you that you shall awake to a sense of your awful situation because this secret combination shall be among you." The secret combinations are among us. Do your research.
And, then there was this "secret combination" (within the church) that David Whitmer denominated the "Gadianton Band (of Robbers)". And, THAT secret combination was something that Whitmer could not countenance! So, they excommunicated Whitmer, for "calling it what it was".
The address may or may not have been a knee jerk reaction to the whole watergate corruption at the top senario at that time. Nevertheless it was timely and completely relevant to the start of the whole cold war conspiracy era in america
Watergate was years after the Cold War had already begun. (In fact, some mark the beginning of the Cold War at the time Berlin was partitioned off, into the various sectors, at the end of WWII. The (former) USSR, even then, was proving to be no "ally", at all)
I personally remember all of the 1950s; and, we were well into the "fear factor" that drove the thinking of people, back then, in re: the threat of nuclear annihilation.
@orlovna2 Damn, it took u a whole month to reply to meaningless subject matter. Who cares that u lived thru the cold war era. Do u want a congressional medal of honour? Gees!
Unlike you, young man, I don't "lie in wait", at this website, to respond to people! By the way, you said, "I watch the History Channel, too". The word "TOO" is what caused me to reply, to you! Thank you for suggesting a medal of honor, though: only mormons want such a pat on the back. I'm not interested, there, young man!
(YOU could actually "learn" something from "old people", young man!)
@orlovna2 You must be a blind old fool too cause look at how many other replies to other YOUTUBERS you've submitted in just the last 2 days. Its like you've come out of your shell from out of nowhere and worked yourself up into a frenzy with all these crazy ass comments that no one even cares about. You may have to ask your doctor to up your dosages, for all our sakes, including your own. Have a nice day
There are bad and good: Mormons, Jews, Catholics, Protestants, Moslems, rich, poor, black, white, etc. The only REAL 2 opposing groups are SELF-CENtERED, TYRANNY-MINDED people, who consider everyone else scum, and FREEDOM-CENTERED, LIBERTY-LOVING, CARING people -- who want to help others AND themselves. Please tel others, & remember these words in all the years to come....
Remember a few things, here. Mormons believe in being subject to (loyal to) kings, rulers....and mormon-church presidents. That is why they greedily play their "follow-the-leader" game. AND, the LDS crutch teaches that mormons will "rule and reign", in the Millennium. Well, I think that their KING-MAN MENTALITY is firmly established, now!
Rule & Reign? That is the mentality of tyranny, right there!
Benson just didn't realize, unlike Pogo, that the enemy was him, himself.
I found this talk in the July 1972 Ensign. The talk is titled "Civic Standards for the Faithful Saints"

@solomanspaming Exodus 28:30; Leviticus 8:8; Deuteronomy 33:8; Samuel 28:6; Ezra 2:63; Nehemiah 2:65.

Deuteronomy 18:9-12 which states in part,
... thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

:8 But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
solomanspaming 11 months ago

Why would God make a revelation conditional upon an event which he knew would never happen?
solomanspaming 11 months ago

Smith ultimately filed bankruptcy.
solomanspaming 11 months ago
@solomanspaming Hold on their bud. This is a famous one and I'm going to show that when read out of context it looks bad but you're actually proving the prophesy to be true. 1) This revelation was given in April 1834, nearly four years before the Saints were forced out of Kirtland. Two years earlier, in April 1832, the united order (Firm) gave a 5 yr loan for $15,000. The saints were kicked out of Jackson County in November 1833, they lost the collateral. No more revenue to repay it.......
Dalessiokiller 11 months ago
@solomanspaming There were other debts as well, and the need to provision Zion's Camp, and a looming lawsuit from apostate Philastus Hurlburt. In order to protect the assets in the united order — not to escape paying debts, but to give the Church time to reorganize and meet its obligations — on 10 April 1834 the members of UNITED ORDER agreed that the order should be DISSOLVED and the assets allotted to individual Church members as stewardships.
Dalessiokiller 11 months ago
@solomanspaming The verses in question instructed the Saints to pay their debts and to be humble . If done, the Lord promised to soften the hearts of their creditors (104:80--83). They were instructed to write the New York banks to which they owed the money (104:81). Joseph was told that a door would be opened to him to "loan" (i.e. borrow) additional money to deal with their current obligations (104:84). THIS CAME TO PASS as Temple was built. Money problems came a few years later in 1837.
Dalessiokiller 11 months ago
yes I'm sure there is a'mormon explination' for all 60 of joseph smiths false prophecies.
Winter l829-1830. David Whitmer, pages 30-33 Smith sent Hiram Page and Oliver Cowdery to Toronto, to sell the copyright of the B of M in response to god's revelation. David Whitmer records that Joseph Smith “ ... inquired of the Lord about it, and behold the following revelation came through the stone: ‘Some Revelations are of God: some revelations are of man: and some revelations are of the devil’.”
solomanspaming 11 months ago
@solomanspaming Is the last statement false? God reveals things through his spirit, men can be influenced by our own ideas (We have free will) and most Christians will agree that the enemy himself can disguise himself as a angel of light so thanks for the confirmation - it's appreciated!
Dalessiokiller 11 months ago
Yes the last statement you made is false. AGAIN, type in failed prophecies of joseph smith into any search engine 60 of 65 of his prophecies failed. Are you telling me Jesus Christ returned in 1891 as smith prophecied? Are you saying that his prediction of the civil war bringing 'an end to all nations' is true? look up joseph smith glass looker, from 1820-1826 he was a member a group of con artists that pretended they could seek out treasure by looking at seer stones in his hat.
solomanspaming 11 months ago
@Dalessiokiller said ' The verses in question instructed the Saints to pay their debts and to be humble . If done, the Lord promised to soften the hearts of their creditors' THAT IS A LIE. They didn't pay their debts
so God's will for mormons to PAY ALL THEIR DEBTS didn't include the debt that forced them to flee kirkland ?
Mormons will cover lies with more lies every time. You are a liar and will burn in hell for spreading the blasphemy of mormonism, so enjoy hell, and have a nice day!
solomanspaming 11 months ago
@solomanspaming and the instruction of paying and being humble etc etc worked until the crash of 1837 a few years after the fact. I gave you step by step events of what happened. what happened in 1837 had nothing to do with the fulfilled prophecy. a few years earlier. So who's lying? Also do not condemn me or anyone to hell. You're not a judge of angels. That hell nonsense is what people like you spew when they realize that they were wrong and have nothing left. My days going great - thanks!
Dalessiokiller 11 months ago

The temple lot is not owned by the Mormon church.
solomanspaming 11 months ago

Dalessiokiller 11 months ago
How many 'COLOR' people did j smith help? Damn you are a racist, here is your answer, he helped 3.
WIKIPEDIA:Under the leadership of Joseph Smith, several African-Americans, including Elijah Abel were admitted to the priesthood. But that policy changed sometime before 1852, because in that year, church president Brigham Young made a pronouncement to the Utah Territorial Legislature stating that African-Americans "cannot hold the Priesthood
solomanspaming 11 months ago
@solomanspaming I'm a racist? One of my best friends is named Tyron Davis. and you can't count. You're so worried about the priesthood. Remember the 1833: Free People of Color Editorial Published? How about the letter that followed from Missouri? How about ACS? Formed for people of color but the whites were openly racist. A.M.E. Church was formed because whites Methodists would allow color people to pray on their Knees. The LDS withheld priesthood, everyone else wouldn't even let them worship.
Dalessiokiller 11 months ago
@Dalessiokiller said One of my best friends is named Tyron Davis
What does that mean? You know someone named Tyron Davis? Is that a stereotypical black name?
Did you Mis-spell TYRONE? Are white people not able to have the name Tyrone?
Lets recap. Joseph smith 'translated' the book o'moron by looking at seer stones in his hat. He was pretending he could seek hidden treasure doing this same thing for many years before that. He married 11 other mens wives, then preached that men become gods
solomanspaming 11 months ago

White racist god that likes a different jesus & inverted pentagrams, YOUR GOD IS SATAN.
solomanspaming 11 months ago
@solomanspaming Were you writing this to anyone in particular? Do u just like trolling? That silly pentagram was used by the Sumerians, the Jews, and yes, some early Christians! It was a catholic who made it evil. Of course the cross which looks a lot like the symbol for a pagan Egyptian god is never questioned. A different Jesus? That's true, we do not believe in Plato's Egyptian influenced Nicene creed gas cloud Jesus, that's the other Jesus!

@Dalessiokiller here's the quote, utahrd.
The LDS Church News reported: "In bearing testimony of Jesus Christ, President Hinckley spoke of those outside the Church who say Latter-day Saints 'do not believe in the traditional Christ.

You've found no truth in the BOM, but the Bible is true?
So when Jesus teaches such and such, if its in the BOM, it's false, but if he says the exact same thing in the Bible, it's true... ok, that makes sense. I forgot how rational mainstream Christianity is.
JohnAColtharp 1 year ago
@JohnAColtharp Well I guess it would make sense to mormons that Christianity is not rational since they are not. You have good point there.

How can you be happy in heaven, if your loved one is in hell?
Love is unconditional, no true father would hurt ANY of his children.
So, since God is love, the Bible can not be Gods word.
And since time never had a beginning, existence also never had a beginning.

LiteWaiter 5 months ago
@LiteWaiter
And because time never had a beginning, there's enough time for trial and error to arrive at this exact same place.
Existence is a lot more than what we've been told. Try dimensions.
LiteWaiter 5 months ago
@LiteWaiter ah, it probably would be easier but that's the whole beauty of it. God will not MAKE anybody good. It would be forceful and contrary to His plan. Jesus Himself rebuked the Pharisees often for observing the law but rejecting the higher law of Love thy neighbor. Are we perfect? no, but if we understand the higher law we are commanded to love unconditionally. Religious history is full of ignorant war and hate. What is needed is proper scriptural understanding and unconditional love.

Mormons do no such thing. "Swear oaths of violence", "occult", "recieve the fruits of it's violence" thats the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Mormons dont teach or believe in anything of the sort...if ANYTHING they're too much into "turning the other cheek" when it comes right down to it.

Mormons would have been good LOYALISTS, under King George, of England: because the Article of Faith #12 tells you to!
"We believe in being subject to KINGS.. (how so?)....in obeying, honoring, and "sustaining" the KING in his--the king's--LAW. (whose law? Why, the KING's law!)

read 1 peter 2: 13-19, or 1 timothy 2: 1-2, or the admonition of paul to endure all things etc. "mormons would have been loyalists, under king george". thats not true. the article says (as you properly quoted, but failed to understand) "being SUBJECT to kings" there is a big difference (obviously not sufficient that you noticed it) between submission and loyalty (a word you introduced out of context, and in caps).

@DrPorterRockwell
Go shoot yourself, if you wish!

@orlovna2
Good luck with that homosexuality.

@orlovna2 That Article of Faith merely means that we believe in working within the law to change it when it is not something that secures the God-given rights of man. So far, to my mind at least, there has been but one modern-day exception to that interpretation, which is America's Revolution.
cjbatesii 1 year ago
@cjbatesii
(When you substitute "ruler", for "king", you get Adolf Hitler, as an example...)
orlovna2 1 year ago
@orlovna2 You were right @ Nazism only so far as the local level. Helmuth Huebner was excommunicated for distributing anti-Nazi literature but reinstated by Salt Lake posthumously. The phrase "the law" appears at the end of the sentence and is very singular, thus referring to one law, which kings must uphold also. Insofar as they uphold that law, we support them. If they don't, we work within the law to change it, with the final step being revolution.
cjbatesii 1 year ago
@cjbatesii
(And, they have the power to change it, on a whim, if it suits them!)
orlovna2 1 year ago
@orlovna2

@cjbatesii
As a result of that, an Austrian branch prez. joined the Nazi Party.
orlovna2 1 year ago
@orlovna2 You are right. I am not too young to learn history...I'm in my 30's and have hundreds of books which chronicle it, but when I refer to something I am specific enough that anyone can find what I am referring to, even with only 500 characters. If I were to Google this, there would be no such specificity. Even if you had something, there is a huge difference between being in the armed forces, for example, and the SS.
cjbatesii 1 year ago
@cjbatesii
Remember: Heber Grant told the German and Austrian Mormons to "follow Hitler and to "obey Hitler's law": absolutely UN-AMERICAN!
orlovna2 1 year ago
@cjbatesii
So that, strangely, you had "Mormons fighting Mormons" (through that self-same obedience and allegiance, to Leaders).
.
UN-AMERICAN!

@cjbatesii
ADDENDUM (re: Article of Faith 12)
Joining the Nazi Party (for that Austrian LDS local leader) was "the ultimate expression of loyalty to Hitler and the Nazi Machine".
Those who so-expressed their loyalty--and to be "subject to Hitler, and to obey, honor, and sustain [him and his law]" was such an expression--would never, in a million years, make any efforts to try to have that law changed! To try to do so, in a dictatorship, meant death, for that individual.

@orlovna2
By definition, Benson = HYPOCRITE
orlovna2 1 year ago
@orlovna2 . two things.
1st. read the book before you digress to slandering someone who is simply recommending you read it. you may not know this, but your attitude and approach to conversation is exposed and outlined in the very first chapter.
2nd. when posting comments try to make them somewhat coherant.

BadHairsRevenge1981 1 year ago
@BadHairsRevenge1981

Nevertheless it was timely and completely relevant to the start of the whole cold war conspiracy era in america
belzeebub1 1 year ago
@belzeebub1
