That's near the Salmon River in New York, just outside the hatchery in Altmar. The fish in the video are in Beaver Brook and the gate is down to prevent them from going up the brook

At least, I THINK that's where it is and if that's where I think it is, it's Beaverdam Brook, not Beaver Brook. But then again, that's not the only green fish fence in the world!!:)

The reason the gate is there is to stop the salmon from going further up the river, it forces them to go up the fish ladder into the hatchery for stripping
