it sounds good...excpet you need to use more dynamics...and a little more different chord progressions. but the sound of it could blamed on the crappy piano...very nice though for a self-composition!
well i like it except you need to use more dynamics...not just banging the whole time. the fact that ur playing a crappy piano might contribute to that though...idk
I must say you really do have the hands for the job. I like your style and what you do. I do think it would be just as much of a treat if you opened up and went outside your comfort zone. I like!
Try backing off on the damper pedal. Rely more on your fingers holding down the notes for sustain if you can. Some better phrasing would help this piece out too. Exploit all the dynamics from pp-p-mp-mf-f-ff. One of my favorite musicians as far as quality in putting in expression through phrasing is Sabicas. He's not a pianist, but a guitar player. Listen to him for some real inspiration. I myself sure do get a lot from listening to him play.
Sounds like it needs some vocals. It doesnt have like a focal point like a melody, a hook or whatever you'd call it. Sounds like background music from 'The Sims'
ok this is a bit detailed so sorry. the beginning i dont like, it sounds too classical baroque-y to me but then at 26 seconds it sounds really cool! i like the crossover round 1.17 it looks nice as well as sounds good. but the end is again the same as the beginning and i dont like it. ive saved it to my favourites. and i think its much better than your c minor etude thing!
You have good hands but I think you could use some soul or something, most of what Ive seen from you is pretty, uh, old manish (ie new age comatosey)? Do you know any of the old jazz standards or some boogie woogie (or ragtime)? Id like to see you play something like that (up tempo, precussion, bluesish stuff). Please dont consider this to be a rebuke or critique though, I appreciate the skill you have.
the piano sounded a little out of tone, maybe the sound got bit affected, still I liked it. The 'that's it' was a cute ending and the song sounded good, you play well and I would not mind hearing it live somewhere.
Yea I heard it too, I think it was a high B-flat, sounded really bad.. bad it's a very nice song though, I like the part where you cross over with your left hand and play the melody with it!
I have that book that you have sitting on your piano in the backround! I like this one a lot better because I don't really understand how you come up of writing it, but the other one seemed more basic and I could figure out exactly what was going to happen next.
awesome! i love you right hand work... being a guitarist, i can multitask with my right hand picking, and my left hand for notes... on the contrary, i can never get the hang of using both hands on a piano, so to me.. this is really complicated stuff. So it's amazing :)
Your popularity will soar when you get the piano tuned. Yeeoow!

I only used 'soul' because I couldnt think of a better word. Just my taste, a little too western contemporary for me. Keep it up though ;>

i didn't like the start and end of this one so much, i didn't feel it fit it quite right with the rest of the piece. i did however enjoy it overall
i love the part between 1m10sec-->1m28sec: that part is excellent
