2) didn't even try to help

Then saw the cliff and just simply target fixated on it. 3. Rider# 2 also got "mesmerized" by the rider #1 and almost followed the same path because of target fixation.

Also, the episode of South Park I referred to was making that same statement. The funny part is that in the episode, all the harley guys went around town trying to look cool by being loud. I'm guessing he thought they were "going to beat their asses" because the bikers might have got pissed about the accident and felt it was the RV'ers fault. Thus, try to "get even".
Imagine you tail gate some slow driver, go for a pass and crash. Even though the crash was your fault you might blame the slower driver. Thinking that if that slow ass driver wasn't in the way you wouldn't have had to attempt a pass that got you into the accident.

Most Harley riders are amateurs. This guy thought he was going too fast to make the corner and made the mistake of standing the bike up and trying to stop. Even a harley will tip over way farther than a tider thinks it will and if you low side because you tipped too far, the results are better as a rule than riding off a cliff. rider phenomenon known as target fixation. 1. rider passed the slow moving RV... that's an ok move. Rider's focus was still partially on the RV that was on his right rear side, 2. Then saw the cliff and just simply target fixated on it. 3. Rider# 2 also got "mesmerized" by the rider #1 and almost followed the same path because of target fixation.
