Great to hear those engines again on the 747- something a photo can't give you!! and what a backdrop with Athen's in the background - gives a great sense of atomosphere,classic ELAL footage!!! I should say I miss that Delta livery on 5:17 - they should have stuck with that one. Nice work

So LY serves both JFK and EWR? too bad no 757.. you don't get to see that much anymore.. I never understood the story with that Delta livery (on the 727) it was released in 2000 right? short lived.

@hmasurg hmmm..yeah, I coulda put a 757 in there, the 737 too...and the leased MD11 and 747-300..but the title would have read 'off the page'.. lol!
Oh man, the blasting too close for comfort takeoffs do hold your attention!

@hmasurg of course, some very long sleeves here.
But as to the Delta question you posed and I overlooked.. yes that is what is known as the Ron Allen scheme on that 727 hich was replaced by the Deltaflot or Wavy gravy flag design. I would have loved to see a Delta 744 in Allen and then in Wavy...oh how cool would that have been. But i did get Delta's 777s (and other airc) in both of those schemes. And only ONE MD11 wore the Wavy..and yes, I got it ..just barely, *whew* lucky there,
